  • wow, look at the top tubes on those 7-eleven bikes at 1:40!

  • does anyone know where I can download this brilliant soundtrack ?

  • to my knowledge John Tesh has not released the songs from this Tour de France album since the late 80's and I own all Tour music he has done but this album.

  • @SophistAtheist This music was written by John Tesh. You can buy the John Tesh Tour de France album, but it's slightly altered compared to the original version.

  • wow....that young-ass bob roll in the last few minutes is AWEsome!!

  • what is the name of the song?

  • One of the John Tesh songs released on a couple of CDs back in the day.

  • "Head Clobbers" by John Tesh, aka The Time Trial Song or Time Trial Theme from the 87 Tour.

  • Awesome Oakley Factory Pilots!!!

  • Fuck the helmets, this is raw cycling! :D

  • Those Time Trial Bikes are awesome. I wish they would ban aero bars so we could go back to these bikes.

  • Those were the days of the Mavic Comete and FIR disc wheels with the rotating dots, Wolber Discjet, crappy but awesome Cinelli XA stems that would slip and the dying years of the retrofriction shifters (Mavic, Simplex and Campy). 88 the first year of the prototype Dura Ace STI shifters and we never looked back!!!

  • @syngraft Don't forget toe clips and alfredo binda straps, black all-leather cycling shoes, and brake hoods with brake cables sticking out of them.

  • andy is the best american rider ever

  • anyone got dvd of 87 tour de france? i think one of the american networks did an amazing "best of", i had a copy but lislaid it :(. Can anyone help?

  • ask socalrider.

  • I dunno... when I see guys without any means to keep their big, 80s hair down in time trials... I think:

    "Learn about aerodynamics, damn!"

In the final time trial of the '87 Tour, Delgado had nothing to hold his hair down, and he lost the yellow to Roche...

  • one could probably find the CDs in a second-hand CD shop--Yanni's Celebration of Life, Reflections of Passion, and Chameleon Days. Tesh's Tour de France, Garden City, Live at Red Rocks, etc. and you can pick and choose the uptempo songs to ride with. (Tesh's Monterey Nights is number 1 for 'nocturnal' festivities)

  • The music was from the Tour de France soundtrack coverage from 86-88 by John Tesch. It was only released on cassette tape, but I transferred it to CD years back. I will look for it.

  • I Have this on CD not a copy the real thing from back in the 80's

  • Ive searched high and low and can't find this specific track...Any ideas?
