these dudes look like all my drunk uncles on christmas....except that one would be falling down by now, one would be yelling, and one would be crying....lol
@kunjidee Oh, I'm the idiot. I get it. The guys kick ass, they're truly great and you compare them to drunk old men. I see it now. Very very funny. You are one funny motherfucker!
@peterzang Yeah you're the idiot. All I said was they look like my uncles on christmas...you're taking offence for no reason - Im sure they would think the comparision was funny too and would YOU are a DICK.
The show at Santa Barbara was a love fest, if not quite a virtuoso performance. Steve's playing was great, but, as he is hard of hearing, his singing was rugged. Neil was terrific. Richie wasn't quite up to the form he displayed in the videos here, but the harmonies were mostly stellar. Everyone did solo as well as BS tunes. Lots of reminiscing on stage and in the audience. 43 years since the last show at the Whiskey in La.

@mfbigray It's there to shield the sound of hitting Stills. Lots of bands do it now. Knowing Stills hearing loss is allegedly sever, it's there toprotect his hearing and allows Vitale to play at a volume he is comfortable with as opposed to sacridifsing his playing to tray and accomodate Stills.
I love to hear the raw harmony of Stills on this song just like in the old days. I never thought that I'd get to see these guys ever play together with these songs. Thanks guys!
If Neil had honored his original agreements with the guys back in the 1980s you would have gotten to enjoy seeing/hearing ALL the original band members perform, and of course Stephen would have still been able to sing well enough to perform songs like "Rock & Roll Woman" without straining to hear himself from a severe hearing loss. The band were rehearsing in Stills' basement of his Florida home and all was set to begin touring, then without warning Neil was a no-show,
(cont.) Stills tried to find out why Neil had a sudden change of heart, but Neil, without explaining why, simply let the matter drop. It was crushing to Bruce and Dewey Martin especially...I don't think that Bruce ever forgave Neil and frankly I don't blame him. How sad that Neil waited until two members were dead and another damn near died and had lost most of his hearing before he FINALLY allowed this great band to reform..and then ONLY to promote his school!
@Babyhowdy233 Did you read this stuff from a book? I have Richie's book and just love it. I'd like to read more about these guys if you could tell where you found this information. Thanks.
Did this band ever make it then? LoL!!

The Springfield are my second fave from the 60's next to the Beatles.
Talented and yet underrated. Great songs and excellent musicians.
