I used this seed months ago as an experiment for my pathfinding and navigation skills since the caves are naturally massive and quite to get lost in. However, by always placing torches on the right side as I go, I never got lost ever again whenever I needed to find my way back by following the torches on the left side. Thanks a bunch, Dez.

i found a huuuuuuuuuge mine once, it first separated in two, then one of them separated in 5 and it kept going. Had random seed tho. Totally i found 52 diamonds, 276 coal, 72 gold, 120 redstone, 65 lapis and 117 iron. But i played with lava and died with all my ores in my inventory so i cried for an hour. ;(

the problem though with this is that if you were really going through all this for the resources there'd be a shit ton of monsters and it'd take forever to get all of it, you'd get lost (like you said), and it'd take forever to traverse around gaps and stuff.

@TheJustinmclingberg that used to be part of a mod called single player commands but now you need to make your world into a 'creative' mode. to do that, when creating a new world, you must click on "advanced world options" and there is an option that says world type, click on that and it should say creative. here you have infinite items and you can fly by double tapping the jump button. the seeds option is in the same screen. i hoped this helped you.

on time i found this huge cave and after like 2 hours of exploring i run out of torches but i see light that probably lava, so i walk towards it and suddently i fall, for like 30 sec in air until i land in water, and there is SHIT TONN of diamond there, now me with my 1/2 hearts trying to mine the diamond, suddently i hear "phhssss" i turn around and explosion, i have half a heart left but all my armor in gone, i place a furnice and get some light, and i see ALOT of mobs, soo like 3 hours wasted

Whenever you start a new game, theres a place for naming your world and for the seed. Naming of the world, should be obvious :O. Seed, it affects your enviorment. If i typed something like" Skittles1031" i may be in a desert. If i typed" 1234pickle" i may spawn into a tundra. seeds affect everything in the world and where materials are :3

I don't know how big some of the caves I have found, but they are still pretty huge, even when compared to this one. I have literally spent hours exploring a single cave, only to die and have to run back to recover all of my stuff. It's insanely frustrating. I will give you that your cave is larger in that is has larger caverns than any of mine. I haven't seen huge openness in such large quantities before. Bravo on finding this.
