Whilst listening to Venom's youtube playlist late one morning, a song came on by a band named Bathory. This band was amazing, vocals where not my favorite, but the music was amazing, So for once I will have to thank youtube, for it's updating, normally I don't like change, but this time it was a very good thing. I can't say I am a Bathory fan as of yet, not because I do not like them, but because I do not want to insult actually fans, but one day I will be able to say I am a fan of this band.

Oh and this song is amazing :), this riff is essential for down strumming practice, and the riffs are sublime and tremendous, as all Bathorys songs. Quorthon was a better writer than he was a musician, and damn, he was a hell of a musician, no matter what he had to comment 'bout that. The composition was allways tight from Quorthon in all instruments, especially on Blood Fire Death imo, and excluding the debut (Drums =P, could have been better, but the raw quality is just... Charming?)

Ok heres the facts concerning this song, bathory and Venom. Quorthon first heard Venom after their debut. He just listened to some of the songs and once, I don't think he could have copied something out of that, he just got to hear the CD in a studio, he or the band didn't own it even. Born For Burning comes from one of their first songs: Live In Sin. It's a speed-up version from it basically. Bathory got inspired by the atmosphere and feel over other acts after their debut only. Nothing more.
