Holy Shit i have a Fender that looks exactly like the on Billy is playing same color and it's beat the shit out of just like his almost the same exact way too except mine is a Squier Strat and i bought it used from a DI for 30 bucks believe it or not and it's the best guitar i have and i have 2 other Fenders and 1 Fernandez lol.

It's so funny to listen to all the grunge bands first albums because there first albums are incredible but they are all heavier for example Nirvana "Bleach" is way heavier than all of their other albums and is amazing and on one song i think it might be Scoff has double bass lol SP "Gish" way heavier then the rest of their albums i think and the list goes on....

He's amazing at soloing, always has been. Theres a video on youtube of him absolutely shredding at a very very young age. Mid 80s. He's a much better guitarist than a lot of lead guitarists in other bands.

byusnowboarder is correct. This is the 70's Strat that was stolen way back in 1991-ish. Billy has said this was his favorite guitar ever, but he's never seen it since. He's often talked about it in interviews.

did he ever use those types of pickups? i know he liked lace sensors,but not exactly sure at what point he added to his gear. my guess is sometime between this performance and the start of the sessions for SD. listening to the live early version of luna,it has a completely different sound than the album version. of course the lack of a sitar accounts for that. lmao

They're not lace sensors. On lace sensors you can't see the pole pieces (the six metal poles that stick out of the pickup). I think aaronp01 is right. Judging by the headstock, it looks like a 70's strat (huge headstock)

Yeah, it's most likely to be the 1974 strat he used to record Gish with. I think it later got stolen and was replaced with another 70's strat, which I believe Corgan may still have - it was brought out for what was supposed to be the final show in Chicago in 2000 - it can also be seen in the performance of "Slunk" on the Vieuphoria DVD.
