The storyline makes sense combined with the console version. Rhino gets arrested Doctor Octavius' accident, and here he breaks out. I think the two versions of the game share one continuity.

@legorockband500 well the console versions (Gamecube, PS2, Xbox) of this game are the same and fun to play. The PC version is way much different than the console version and it sucks so bad Spiderman 3 the game isnt that bad. Spiderman 1 had it for PC and it was the same game, Spiderman 3 I think was on PC too, but i know its the same damn game. So avoid the pc version of Spiderman 2 and get console version.
