This actually feels more approriate for this show. Unlike other Reality shows that just exploit, this is just capturing a real life situation and they don't try to make it about anymore than the crew trying to get their captain some help. RIP. Phil.

I have to agree with medicha812, Phil wanted the cameras to keep rolling. He said that this needed a ending to it and Discovery is trying to fulfill Captain Phil's last wishes. I know how hard it is for some to watch because he was my favorite Captain but I will watch to get my closure.

Is it fitting or not that he didn't walk off the boat? I mean if it HAD to happen this way. He didn't leave his ship, he had to be carried off. Such was his love for the Cornelia Marie. This could have happened anywhere. Alone in his bed at home or in some strange hotel room. He was where he loved to be, surrounded by the people he loved who loved him as well. I do find it fitting, but wish it had never happened. at all. R.I.P. Philly!

i remember reading an interview with Josh Harris and he said that Phil recovered extremely quickly from the stroke, but one of his arteries was the size of a toothpick and that what caused him to die ):

You know what, this isn't Hollywood, this is real life and the man in this video, at the time the video was shot, dies 10 days later. Two of the men in the video are his kids. Have a heart. If you don't watch it, fine, but realize that it's one of the most popular reality shows out there right now and the fans are very passionate and protective of it. You don't have to like it, but you don't have to slam it either when someone freaking DIES. Stop the fighting, take it elsewhere.
