I don't know what the laws are there, but in Washington state Bicycles can be on the road and on the side walk. Its an advantage of Bicycling. Check your local Laws before you VLOG
if i was a cyclist id prefer to stay on the footpath as well, dont care what the police say i would never put my life at risk! and hold up traffic to keep them happy
This is a nice wide road, with plenty of room, I find no need to use the primary position here.
If the cycle lane was not there, I would cycle about where the white line currently is. It is a real pity that the cycle lanes ruin one of the better bit of road around here.
I agree, I wouldn't use primary either. I just meant that I'd ride on or next to the line, but in the road rather than allow myself to be squeezed that close to the gutter.
You can see on camera the shock as you cycle over the potholes / drains. I don't know where this is but I would be further out (not primary, but maybe wheel on the line).
As it is you're not leaving yourself any 'stupid room' for dumb motorists to force you into.
Never less than 1m from the kerb is my rule of thumb.
Haven't seen any no-hands in traffic before- nice capture!
yeah, I dont like it when cyclists cycle on the footpath... I'm a cyclist myself and they cause a danger to me because they pull out onto the road where other silent cyclists that they dont hear are traveling at speed.... nasty crash that
Cool story bro

Dodgy cycling there!
btw., that cycle lane is dangerously narrow, I'd be out of it in the road myself.

that's a lovely cycle lane there as well - nothing like encouraging good road position!
