If you have played the FIRST Blitzkrieg you know this game is shitty.
At least that is my opinion, everything is wrong the 3D graphics are not well balanced, textures look blurry even on highest setting, controls are clunky etc.
There are many reasons why operation Barbarossa lost, chief among them was that Theatre of War 2 was so buggy hitler couldn't play the game and lost the western front.
Next was normandy and well company of heros was pro-allies.
Lastly was this game with put must of the german high command asleep with it's boring gameplay

First of all Russia is huge, even though the Germans had advanced over 480 km in the first week this made their supply lines struggle to keep up, combined this with poor condition of Russian roads and with the germans unprepared for the muddy autumn and fierce cold winters, which eventually slowed the german advance, by the time the Germans reach Moscow they were out of steam
@RocketHarry865 2 of the major contributing factors to the failure of Barbarossa was Hitler's refusal to mobilize the entire nation of Germany for factory production (women making ammo, shells, tanks etc.) until 1943, and also a refusal to prepare for winter... TWICE! (1941 and 1942). Troops had no winter clothing, tanks and other vehicles hadn't the correct lubricants.
Also the splitting of forces during Op. Blue. Should have zerg rushed either S.Grad or Moscow, not dithered outside Leningrad.

For the reason why the Germans did not had their women take over the factory production so that more soldiers can be used is because Nazi Germany had a doctrine that women's place was to stay in the home and were to raise children. In Blitzkrieg 1 even Berlin wasn't a problem for me I took it in a few minutes with full assault, but this game is shit. Command gives you such a small ammount of troops and tanks you can't even destroy two bunkers without great losses. I was so angry I threw the CD straight into the trash can.

Also I wouldn't rank German engineering as nr.1 best. The point that got them that far were superior tactics, combined arms and skilled soldiers on individual basis and command level. They actually trained their army while Russians just showed Ivan a tank and made farmers drive them. Also they had fresh real combat experienced troops. War was lost to attrition, something that every western country was hoping earlier. That Germany would bod gown and bleed itself dry and be an easy pushover.
Some controversial historians actually argue how wrong Stalin was. It's now thought that Stalin actually managed to relocate most of the production lines before the war started. Before they were closer to the borderline but thanks to them being a little far back they could work literally even in battle as some factories shurned out tanks even if a part of the factory was captured. This is what won the war. Germans calculated that the production would be halted not increase.

Not to mention that, even before it was called off, the Wehrmact was already overstretched on an ill-conceived three-pronged attack into the Ukraine and up towards Leningrad simultaneously.
Without capturing Moscow or destroying the large portion of Russia's industry behind the Urals, the Reds were able to steamroll the Germans out.

Germany was fighting on three fronts, the Commonwealth 4 fronts, and the Americans 3 with Germany, Japan, and Italy. Russia only had to fight on one front and it was nearly destroyed.

I liked this game i beat it a couple of times. The first one was a little more tactical and i liked that. I wouldnt compare this to code name panzers or company of heros. The blitzkriegs where a lot macro action. CoH and Panzer were more micro. i see comparing them as a negative concept.

A good artillery perimeter, supply stockpile and garrisoned positions could be called a "base". I haven't played this game by the way I am just guessing it is similar to Sudden Strike games, also made by the same game designers. I have ordered this game for a cheap price but I suspect it is not very good. Having been disappointed by Sudden Strike 3 (which is basically unplayable) I wanted to try something more playable even if it is apparently crude, and this fulfils those criteria.
no, its tatical game, you control of some amount of troops given in each mission, call air strikes, get reinforcments ,and charge on enemy positions, clearing cities, Etc.
"War Front: Turning Point" has full base-building, resource harvesting and technology trees for the Allies, Nazis and Soviets (although it is alternate history and I found it quite silly).
Otherwise there is a mod (complete conversion) for Command and Conquer: Generals called "Blitzkrieg", which has all WW2 factions base building and looting for funds, but I never got the mod working on Vista.
Search either of these on Youtube and you'll find something.

A good artillery perimeter, supply stockpile and garrisoned positions could be called a "base". I haven't played this game by the way I am just guessing it is similar to Sudden Strike games, also made by the same game designers. I have ordered this game for a cheap price but I suspect it is not very good. Having been disappointed by Sudden Strike 3 (which is basically unplayable) I wanted to try something more playable even if it is apparently crude, and this fulfils those criteria.

no, its tatical game, you control of some amount of troops given in each mission, call air strikes, get reinforcments ,and charge on enemy positions, clearing cities, Etc.

"War Front: Turning Point" has full base-building, resource harvesting and technology trees for the Allies, Nazis and Soviets (although it is alternate history and I found it quite silly).
Otherwise there is a mod (complete conversion) for Command and Conquer: Generals called "Blitzkrieg", which has all WW2 factions base building and looting for funds, but I never got the mod working on Vista.
Search either of these on Youtube and you'll find something.

3.perhaps the german fears the russian generals,but ur footmans too.. because on the one side were the german.. so the troops ran into and were almost killed...so they ran back to rescue themselves .
