I saw this on the West End and it was amazing, but part of me can't help but be sad that I never got to see Idina and Kristin in the main roles. I really hope that should they ever make a movie, that they play the main roles, it would be perfect.

This is OK, but it's too much "infomercial" and not a real behind the scenes. I also hate how all the stage scenes are recreated and not live. Too much reverb, too much fakiness!

I saw Wicked yesterday night at the Orange County Performing Arts Center!~ it was AMAZING! I saw it when Glinda was played by the understudy though-not sure yet if that was a good thing or bad thing lol

i honestly think megan hilty should play glinda in the movie. she has all the goofy girly nonsense as galinda but still has the acting chops to play the emotionally stressed older glinda. and eden espinosa or shoshana bean should be elphaba. in my opinion, idina and kristin are too old to be playing 20-year-olds anymore.

I saw this in London and I really want to go see it again! I'm not a big fan of muscials but this is the best thing I have ever seen! (That includes films, TV shows ect!)

I bought the album the second I got home and I can't watch the Wizard of Oz without screaming at the TV! It changes your view on the film forever! I can't wait until I get the book!

I do know that they intend to wait until the show loses some steam before they'll pick the project back up. With it still touring and still doing big business on Broadway, needless to say, it's going to be a while.

@HarajukuloverGwen There is a possible miniseries starting soon based on the book. I don't see the book being able to be condensed into a two hour film, a miniseries would be perfect for it. However if they found the right production crew the musical could be adapted into a good movie.

The Elphaba is Stephanie J. Block, who was in many ways the 'first' Elphaba, as the songs were workshopped around her voice before the role in rehearsals and opening was given to Idina. G(a)linda is Kendra.
