  • i want to steal of those clothes! i love it!

  • I was in Japan in 2007 and believe me I was astonished, Tokyo is the fashion capital of the world.

  • Actually, Milan is the fashion capital of the world. Tokyo is just one of the major fashion capitals of the world, along with New York, London, and Paris.

  • @joshtakahashi08 Yeah, but japan is the capital of STREET fashion, in Milan have strange and ugly clothes.

  • @guhgouveia Hon, that's not how fashion capitals work. It's not about appearance or best in a certain type of fashion, which you state here is Tokyo Street Fashion. It's about a city being the home of many top designers, modeling agencies, fashion media, etc. Milan is only the #1 fashion capital in the world because it's the city that focuses mostly on media, having several modeling agencies and home to several designers (Versace, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada, Giorgio Armani...

  • @guhgouveia ...Dolce & Gabbana, John Galliano, Hugo Boss, Roberto Cavalli) Would you like me to go on? Probably why so many people would think Tokyo is #1 fashion capital of the world is because of Tokyo being richest city and Japan having the highest demand of luxury goods in the world. We all have different opinions. I think Japanese Street fashion is chic and cute, but not original. Have you seen other Japanese designers out there? All fashion capitals have their unique definition of fashion.

  • @guhgouveia Lastly, all capitals have their up and downs. Be sure not to judge Japanese or Italian fashion just by getting the general gist of it. When I shop for clothing, I turn to styles like sophisticated & chic, that's why go for European fashion. Why do you think there are so many foreign luxury designer stores in Japan? Because most Japanese people prefer to carry foreign luxury brands because of it's sophistication and chicness. There's a smaller amount of people who go for Japanese...

  • @joshtakahashi08 At least someone takes the time to post a decent comment! Nice thinking there.

  • @guhgouveia Designers. Sorry this reply was so long. Just needed to get my point across and the stupid character limit was in the way. :)

  • @WhiteLadyofRohan1980

Thats odd, when I went there, I only saw like 3 people wearing something other than a school uniform, business suit, or work attire. The 3 that i did see, however, stood out and were really awesome. I guess I didnt look hard enough.

  • @WhiteLadyofRohan1980 Yeah I agree! I did go to japan too! And I saw many stylish peoples! OMG! Japan is the fashion capital of the world ever!

  • What happened to the craziness!? this looks like something someone would wear to the mall in california ......

  • it reminds me a little of the fashion where i live (new york)

but it seems a little more exciting.

  • It's something getting used to when you see them for the first time. It's so different from what the women wear here ( netherlands ).

But japanese fashion sure is interesting....it's more daring I'd say, compared to our fashion.

  • dutch women dress horribly. for that matter, so do the men. I say this as someone who visits family in that country every year and finds himself visiting an early 90's time warp...

  • Lol....well, personally I do not really care for what people wear, but yes, I think I must agree with you on that. But it's the 90's, 80's, 70's and even 60's style that is made a comeback or is in the progress of making a comeback.
