  • Minoru experimenting with music like this reminds me of Yngwie going more commercial with Joe Lynn Turner. It works in its own way, but nobody would mistake it for Loudness.

I met Minoru in May 2011 in San Diego, after the Loudness show there. Very polite, classy guy-- not a rock star type at all.

  • After being fired by Loudness, Minoru challenged some different types of music. And this is the most pop songs as to show his ability of singer. But I love this one 'cos cachy melody is so suitable for his deep voice.

  • Perfect!!!!!

  • Thunder in the East is one of my favorite albums of all time, have listened to it for 25 years, but this song and music style is pitiful. What the hell were you thinking guy ??

  • @SZPWS1777

Minoru was simply trying something different. I personally am into heavier music, but appreciate Minoru's ability to put together catchy melodies. So yeah, the music is more poppy, but they're still cool catchy songs.

  • @SZPWS1777 Don't blame Minoru. Blame Atlantic Records for forcing Akira to fire him from the band.

  • I got a doubt, this is pop rock, hard rock or glam metal?.By the way nice song...

  • maybe he is addicted to love or something.

  • @pyroteria Hey That's some funny shit you wrote there. Made me laugh. thanks :) LOL.

  • これみたかったんです!感激です!

    ありがとう^^

    mamamamama・・・

  • I Don't See Chachamaru

  • This is the PV for Minoru's first solo release. As such, only he appears in this video. The live stuff I've also loaded here has the person you seek on them. Enjoy!

  • OK Thank You So So Much

  • Is this guy from loudness....?

  • Yes. Minoru Niihara is the first and current singer for Japanese metal band Loudness. This is off of his first solo CD. I hope you liked it. Later.

  • Nah its not that i don't like it, its just i didn't expect him to be like this. Threw me off guard basically.

  • Have you check out his stuff with the band SLY? Click on the link to the right under the "Related Videos" tab. That song kicks ass! The other band he does, XYZ to A (Asian Typhoon in the U.S.) is also kick ass. I don't know why he calls that project something different here in the states; XYZ to A is good enough as far as I'm concerned.

  • I recorded to the cassette tape by this song that came from a radio, and very often heard it, when I was a junior high school student.

After all, it was a song of the solo of Minoru Niihara. It confirmed it by seeing this video.

    This is my nostalgic song.

    Thank you for uploading!

  • I'm glad you liked it.

  • menjijikan......................

  • Nice video, something between John Von jovi and the Led-guitarrist-girl from "The Cramps" in the video"machine gun's & vagine girl's" please look the video first to know what i am talking about, see ya guys. (excuse my inglish, i'm mexican)

  • Minoru has a thing for great guitarists... Akira Takasaki, Hideaki Nakama, Shima, Chuchumaru...

  • にいちゃんかっこいいぞw

  • You know, this is becoming pointless, but... THANK YOU (again) ^-^

  • good song rare video

is this from his First solo CD?

it must be, thanks for posting

  • I believe it is off of his first solo CD. I like your screen name. I just wish Masaki would stop pulling a Blackmore's Knight and get back into the real game. Just my opinion I guess. Later.

  • yeah,Thanks, me to ive been wondering

    why he hasn't Reformed EZO.

last i heard Masaki was playing Bass in a band with a Girl singer, (sound sucked)

  • Yes! They're called "Firesign". However, the girl is his chick, that's why I said he's pulling a Blackmore's Knight, as in Ritchie Blackmore. He's in a band with his girlfriend. Man, when guys start talking about how talented their chicks are it's time to hang it up.

  • Thank you for the videos you've put up here. I'm constantly running into something you've uploaded.

  • Oh man, what a great song! Minoru has really one of the greatest voices in Japan! And the whole team he gathered for his solo albums is just fantastic! Thanks for uploading this video, mate!
