P.S. - High 14's is not fast at all, I know this but when you double stock HP and take roughly 3-4 seconds off ur 1/4 mile with roughly $1,800 TOTAL(INCLUDING Tuning) thats saying something. and thats stock engine, stock wheels/tires, bald at that, stock clutch, thats pretty good I think.

Nice. I have the same exhaust on my 93' EJ. And to answer your question fastcarkid24, preference and price. Most are on a budget. And also cus I own a turbo SOHC EJ and a H22 EG. The H22 in the long run will be faster and respond to mods better but its also alot more expensive. Since Civic's don't come with H22's you have to have one swapped in and i spent less than half of the money for an H22 swap and all needed parts on my Turbo EJ and it runs high 14's spinning until 3rd @6PSI.

Not too sure what you mean. I didn't swap this motor in. I think reading > you. The d16y8 is what came in a (Candian) Si. I didn't exactly have an option as to what motor comes with the car. But the y8 is good for boost...I guess that answers your question?
