Rat's have changed my life, I've had 11, I want more, They are amazing(and rather cheeky) little bugger's! I used to have my Little Coco(R.I.P My little Baby </3) We used to sleep together in my bed at night, Until she had a stroke and died at the age of 5. She was my first ever rat, I've had dogs, rabbits and all sorts, But I cried most when my past few Rat's died, Because they share a connection.

yeah but the bad thing about rats is that they dont live long and i was so attached to my russian blue female rat named Spaz and my other was a Noregion brown rat female named Novack.... i miss them so much. then i had a beutiful albino rat named Innana, but she got very sick and she died in my hands. Now i have babbys a hipper dumbo named hather she looks like a badger and my small hooded rat Ises i think there are 9 mounts old ^_^ cant stop getting them they are so cuite

They seem to be pretty happy, actually. If they were being hurt or did not like it, then it's well within their ability, aided by teeth and claws, to get away. Instead, they do not. They play back. Mine play back, and pounce at my hands to get me to chase them with them.

The most obvious question i can think of..

Why when human are tickled do we reacted negatively to it after a while? No human would ever seek more tickling from the hand that tickled. Such as the rats do. Maybe it's just me (and everyone i know) but, i hate to be tickled.

I scratch my dogs belly. She does not make a noise yet she comes back for more. No noise, No laugh.

I agree those rats are having fun. I do have 6 rats atm. Two silver and white and four black.

Rats that are angry will run away from you. They will never chase you and they make very high squiking sounds. Rats that have fun with you either run chasing your hand or often as I see it, they will run to you, run back and run too you again as if they are hyper.

When they enjoy being petted they vibrate and often begin to lick you in return.

So it's really not that unusual that, say, a rat would laugh.

And as a sidenote, those rats are fine. They're perfectly healthy and are *playing* together, in much the same manner that two puppies might playfight for fun.
