I thought this was wonderful...blitzed? I think not! He's probably just tired from all that gardening. What a great idea! I have a niece that needs to add more fruits and veggies to her kids' diet but always says she can't afford it. This would be so cool to do in our area. So often I see people coming out of the food bank with pastry and packaged crud... Sad, but this is inspiring. Thanks for sharing it

If he can get food (in relatively decent shape) that the grocery stores are required to throw out, then I see no reason why any of us couldn't do the same in our local communities.

We actually do that with Food Not Bombs... Each week, we pick up food that grocery stores here will throw out, but is still completely edible, delicous and good for us!
