Depicter of these picture may wanted our imam to look as ordinary as we are. We should be sensible enough not to depict imam's pictures like in Sikhism for there saints they do. @maxl0ad12 I don't think anyone claims Ali to be the prophet but the rightful Caliph. Hazrat Muhammad is the Prophet and then Ali his son in law in the rightful claiph. I belive thats what the great saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar also mentioned in his poetry that "the first number was and is Ali."
The Prophet chose no one to be the Caliph but Ali when he said "Mun kunto Maula fa haza ALi un Muala" this I qoute from Sahi Mulsim Sahi Bukhari.

@rawab23 the incident of ghadeer is also in your books and abu bakr umar and uthman were the first to thank imam ali and welcome him in kaliphate and the only reason imam ali did not say anything is because a lot of commotion would be caused if he said bad things about them and imam ali was being patient with 3 kaliphas as the prophet (saww) told him to now you know.
@rawab23 You should read his first sermon when he was offered to become the fourth caliph. People who lost all three care takers now were there to ask Ali as there was no one left to teach them the politics of rulers (Kingdom) So Ali was the only Eligiable choice and they were forced to choose him at last. Ali's Sahibi's were loyal and few. Most hypocrites so called sahabi's were with all these Caliphs. Ali said with anger "I will not be bound to follow the style of Shaeikhs earlier than me"
The caliphs you suggest are actualy not caliphs due to them being incorrectly appointed. In order to be a Caliph the Muslim Ummah must pass a vote and appoint them, were as Abu bakr Omar and Uthman were all appointed by incorrect means. Were as Ali ibn Abi Talib Amir al Momineen was appointed through a vote passed by the Ummah at the tim, which he declined on many occasions showing is piety.

The muslim ummah was starting to take shape after the prophet's death, therfore imam Ali knew that an islamicummah is more important for the time being. But in fact later on when he became khalifah, he did speak about the injustice brought upon by them

There is a big misunderstanding that He was "loyal" to Abu Bakr after the Holy Prophet (PBUH) died. It is a mistake to believe this, because all that had happened was that the Prophet (PBUH) had signed a peace treaty, NOT ALLEGIANCE. Because of this, Umar even went so far as to attack the house of Ali (AS) and kill Bibi Fatema (SA).

Two unsuspecting Hazras from Afghanistan had printed some Aks of Rasul (swas) and imams in pakistan taking them for Nauruz celebrations in Mazare sharif. They were booked under 'blasphemy law' and perhaps hanged ( i am not sure). The irony is that the printers being influentials were never asked.

ppl don't fight for ali, fight for userlves. he already fought his mind. not that i've religious believes but i've read about the caliphas characters and i find ALI the best out of all those ppl, such humble person he was. he did not start war against this unjust tradition of islam after prophet, the ultimate goal in islam is make you spiritual not sunni or shai or ismaili and etc .. ali stood for spirituality and zahiries killed him. ali is an inspiration to me :)

Dear friend please do not use these imaginary pics of a person to depict Imam's. You are giving a choice for people to say whether he is beautiful or not. Depicter of these picture may wanted our imam to look as ordinary as we are. We should be sensible enough not to depict imam's pictures like in Sikhism for there saints they do. Imam was one and only read the Nehj-ul-Bilagh 1st sermon on Tauheed. By depicting the imam you are limiting his divine personality. Condemn these ordinary pictures!

@maxl0ad12 I don't think anyone claims Ali to be the prophet but the rightful Caliph. Hazrat Muhammad is the Prophet and then Ali his son in law in the rightful claiph. I belive thats what the great saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar also mentioned in his poetry that "the first number was and is Ali."
The Prophet chose no one to be the Caliph but Ali when he said "Mun kunto Maula fa haza ALi un Muala" this I qoute from Sahi Mulsim Sahi Bukhari.

@rawab23 the incident of ghadeer is also in your books and abu bakr umar and uthman were the first to thank imam ali and welcome him in kaliphate and the only reason imam ali did not say anything is because a lot of commotion would be caused if he said bad things about them and imam ali was being patient with 3 kaliphas as the prophet (saww) told him to now you know.

@rawab23 You should read his first sermon when he was offered to become the fourth caliph. People who lost all three care takers now were there to ask Ali as there was no one left to teach them the politics of rulers (Kingdom) So Ali was the only Eligiable choice and they were forced to choose him at last. Ali's Sahibi's were loyal and few. Most hypocrites so called sahabi's were with all these Caliphs. Ali said with anger "I will not be bound to follow the style of Shaeikhs earlier than me"

The caliphs you suggest are actualy not caliphs due to them being incorrectly appointed. In order to be a Caliph the Muslim Ummah must pass a vote and appoint them, were as Abu bakr Omar and Uthman were all appointed by incorrect means. @rawab23 The reason Imam Ali never spoke out against them was due to the fragility of the issue. The muslim ummah was starting to take shape after the prophet's death, therfore imam Ali knew that an islamicummah is more important for the time being. But in fact later on when he became khalifah, he did speak about the injustice brought upon by them

@rawab23 mam Ali (AS) did not say anything bad about anyone, but the 3 Caliphs used to have gatherings in which they would insult and even swear at and curse him! There is a big misunderstanding that He was "loyal" to Abu Bakr after the Holy Prophet (PBUH) died. It is a mistake to believe this, because all that had happened was that the Prophet (PBUH) had signed a peace treaty, NOT ALLEGIANCE. Because of this, Umar even went so far as to attack the house of Ali (AS) and kill Bibi Fatema (SA).
