i have really long legs and i cant reach my ankle unless i bend my standing knee. i am also having trouble straitening the leg thats up. anything i can do? stretches? variations? anything?

ya i agree with makeupnerd in cheer your heel stretch should be in front of you its only on the side in bow and arrows believe me i cheer at VAS in vancouver, canada who is the second best in canada and the best in B.C. and that side of canada but your super flexible for your irst time doing these stretches you should take up cheer you would be good at it

@GymN10city Sloane wasnt at that camp - that is why she wasnt in the vid - we try to do stuff even but it got hard to do when Sloane broke her leg & wasnt able to do things for months

@MegaWizardz Acually learning a heel stretch is easier, and it starts to stretch out that muscle. I learned it before splits and it made my splits easier.

@HelloImHannah25 i know how you feel. But don't worry,you'll get it....
1) A good way for a beginner's back bend to improve is to always have a spotter.
2) Have a soft surface. (Grass, carpet) Avoid tile or concrete.
1) Start w/ your legs apart and hands above your head.
2) Slowly lean backwards. Make sure your legs are stiff and they do not move. Ark your back as if somwone where catching you.
3) When you've tilted back as far as possible, catch yourself with your hands.

The way they use the ribbon for the scorpion is kind of like how they use bands or straps in a lot of yoga poses, a good tool.
