That's true. Tejano just vanished out of nowhere. What's up with that? Even the "Onda Grupera" vanished as well and was replaced with Banda y Norteno. A major downgrade to quality of music that once was.

What happened was that the major record labels turned on us. They think we're all the "same." I used to work with a Tejano music tv show called Colores Del Barrio. The TV station that used to run it, did away with it, and now supports some crap called LATV. Purely international "Mexican" music. I don't mean Mexican in a derogatory way, it's just not OUR music. They forgot about us, los Tejanos, Chicanos, Tex Mex, however you want to call us.
