All you racist assholes don't even understand it. These guys actually eat the fish and all of it. Not like some stupid rednecks who don't know regulations and waste half the fish. O ya and there clubbing it to put it out of its misery than say just throwing it in the cooler and let it gasp for breath
I live in Japan and often go rec fishing on boats with locals, all of whom use electric reels. It seems that for them, powered reels are an essential piece of kit for regular fisherman, as much as lures and all that are. A lot of them are quite old and of course they're small people, so when a bigger fish gets on they're at risk of looking like fools in front of their mates if they can't wind it in. I don't agree with it, but they're generally nice people who I respect.
I caught a 120lb tuna in australia and a boat came next to mine and they offered me 90,000 dollars for it! that night, it was shipped to japan and i was 90k richer
@saranksp you say this like Americans, Italians, Mexicans, and Australians don't fish. These countries grow tuna in pens, and ship them to Japan. These people are brainless but their fishing has no real effect on tuna populations, only their eating habits.
The sweet sound of electric reels and bow thrusters. Sorta takes the fun out of it if your rec. fishing. If your just there for the meat, then it looks like the way to go.
That ia a great looking unit (Rod and Reel); Like the winch system; who is the Mfg of that; sure beats the crap out of hand winding for two-three hours...
I agree. Its commercial fishing, nothing less. And laughing while clubbing the fish who was in its death throes is bad, really bad. Respect your adversary even in death.

That's not fishing. Amateurs. Impostors. Bunch of wankers. What do you expect with little people with little dicks, no brains and no balls.

this is some bs, you didn't catch a damn thing... I'd wager that you put most of the Japanese fishing sport fishing community to shame.

You call that sport fishing ? I call it motorized fishing. It would have been more sport to just harpoon it. You should be ashamed
