well to be fair this series did have a better manga incarnation, though the plot was still shitty it was better than this one... this series has some fun characters bust that's about it, hard they been a little more serious with the romance side of things they could have at least tried to be school rumble and hook up ryoko and shizuma. or at least that was why I was reading the manga, but that pay off never came....

its about a highschool girl who is verry talented @ kendo. she is always challenged by other people & is currently in love with her teacher or older student, i forgot =_= so she finds an amulet & it takes her to another world where she has to fight monsters. while she's doin dat, she has to balance her life out as she fights and tries to keep her love life being stolen by some other girl. it has a lot more depth than i just dsecribed! lol i highly reccomend it cus its such a good anime! :D

Yeah, Ryoko is obviously based on Kenshin, red hair, purple eyes, great at sword fighting, and both have the same dialect. While her rival, Shizuma is based on Kyo Kusanagi (Same surname and powers).

I'm more into the Ghost in the Shell type of anime, for more mature audiences, but with funny parts as well, of course. I liked the beginning for the series (The intro.) and felt that the ending didn't fit in for some reason. Oh well, it's my opinion. (Oh, and yes, skirts ARE that short in Japan. ;D.)
