@aflsbrng It takes skill to control the ball by feet AND hand, I play absolutely no soccer whatsoever and I can short pass straight for 15-20 metres, score goals. Perhaps the implication that even the ELITE of afl players can find it difficult to handle the ball by hand and foot efficiently just goes to show how much more skill it takes to play AFL. You can teach an afl player to play soccer but it takes a lot more for a soccer player to master AFL.

Perhaps you should go to football games and actually observe how wrong you are. Im very heavily involved in AFL and its very much tactical. Outplaying your opponent = fighting over the ball... except the difference in AFL is that one doesnt fall down whining pretending they have a broken shin.
