As an atheist I am no fan, or appologist for ANY religion, but the term "Islamic Terrorist" infers that acts such as this are sponsored, and supported by the religion of Islam which is not the case. The fact that he was Islamic, or that abortion doctor shooters are Christian perhaps makes them religious extremists. What religion they belong to is incidental.

More clearly stated, people from predominantly Islamic countries are defending themselves from what they see as US aggression. Add to the mix the claim by many American Christians that we are a "Christian nation", and some will see it as aggression by Christianity towards Islam.

I see what you're saying although my opinion on the clinic bombings is different because that is directly inspired by their (warped perception of) religion. Whereas opposing for example the Israeli occupation of Palestine is a political, not a religious issue (although obviously the two are intertwined.)
So bombing the practice of a "baby-killing" doctor, in my view, is religiously motivated, whereas this man snapping was more political if you ask me.
