  • How come Vixen's tail is different than Fox's?

  • The greedier teh mole, the smarter

  • whistle and that horse have the same voice

  • and enters in Vixen, I thought she didn't show up till mid way in season 2. shows how much I remember about another of my fav characters in this show lolXD

  • @AlkaidHydra You might be thinking 'bout bolds mate whisper. o-o :D

  • I burst out laughing when Fox made that little one-liner.

  • I do hope that fox makes it back to the group along with his new found female friend.

  • OK so (I suppose it's bad that I just now noticed this but) his name is Toad but he swims in water???

  • @Desi1231 What is it that you don't understand? I don't mean that offensively, I'm just wondering, as a toad is an amphibian and so spends much of its life within water.

  • @Gradbury

Toads don't generally swim. Frogs do.

  • haha does toad say 'so f*ck of badger' at 2:22?

  • @lubey111 no he said *buck up* which means physc urself up chap

  • that horse's laugh is so funny! LOL

  • Enter the love of Fox's life!

  • I think this is the exact episode that turned me into a furry....

  • Oh fox is such a sly beast. ;-) I'm sure I never noticed that wink when I was little! I always loved Vixen, so pretty...

  • fox lol

  • Aha first episode with Vixen !

  • i no i love vixen

  • Fox, you old dog. :-)

  • Oh wait, nevermind, butcher bird can be a nickname for a shrike (a relative of the Australian butcherbird) which is native to Europe and Africa! Silly me!

  • Why is there a butcherbird when this is set in England? Butcherbirds are native to Australasia!

  • I always loved the voice of Vixen!

  • How funny was fox's wink ;)

  • Hihihi that horse is funny with his laugh =D

  • A shrike is a species of bird native to Europe, the reason they impale their prey is so that no other scavengers can get at them (hence the thorns).

  • what a nice female fox ^^

  • ohh whos this new comer then eh =)

  • Me again I still really like Vixen

  • i feel bad for the mice who lost their babies. seems that those who decide to split off from the collective and break the oath are those who suffer

  • what is a shrike - a kite?

  • Fox is loving it.

  • yasssss, foxy old son. got yourself some poontang!

  • 'things are looking up ;)' ahaha

  • Why did he just wink at me?

  • Dude just found a girl and an empty burrow

  • bowchikka wowow

  • Helz yeah. He lost a leg but got this. Not a bad trade?

  • true that

  • fox didn't lose a leg :S

  • Not Fox, Bold Fox's son

  • oh right

  • Yeah, his is the most tragic of the AoFW characters

  • @ 22706 - Bold didn't lose a leg... (I'm not going to say what happened because it will ruin it for others)

  • Well he essentially did

  • (growl) hello vixen things are most defnetly looking up.

  • How brutal were cartoons when i was young???!!!! They would never show dead mice in a tree now!

  • yeah I know kids are just wrapped in cotton wool these days

  • I dont think thats the case, when I was little this episode really upset me. To the point where I still remember being upset today. Thats not what I want for my kids, they're kids, they shouldnt have to see this sort of thing.

  • yeah it upset me too but it also taught me about nature

  • When in nature do birds act like the SS?!?!

  • Lol, that's EXACTLY what shrikes do. I'd certainly let my kids see this. It has a good of good morales and themes to teach the younger generations.

  • it has been studied that it's actually better that kids learn about death too.. nowadays ppl just forget that death is also natural thing

  • yeah it's stupid how people wrap kids in cotton wool these days

  • when I first saw this I denied CBBC could show somthing so graphic and shocking.

    Well done CBBC!

  • that bird gave me nightmares when I was little sooooo scary

    poor field mice

there are so many sad deaths in this series

  • yeah absolutely, i completely forgot that this series was actually quite dark. i remember being scared too

  • @razmatazxx

As many deaths as there were in this show, it stills teaches you about nature and wildlife in general.

  • Owl is right: learning from experience is the bitterest because you don't know you'll make a mistake until you've made it.

  • I wonder if that crow who told Horse is the same crow Bold met?

  • Vixen is hot.

  • no, you mean beautiful

  • sorry i mean beutiful

  • beutifull vixen nice job.
