I think MP's should consider Anne Widdlecombe as a worthy successor to Betty Boothroyd. All the other names reflect sectional interests, and are flawed by expences claims.

Ann Widdecombe would be a fantastic Speaker. However, she stated that she is standing down at the next General election as an MP.

I appreciate that, but it would be the right thing, especially if Brown survives until next year for a General Election
