@DavidKinner I disagree with that a little bit. They both have extremely powerful voices, they're just a very different kind of powerful. Beyond the Wheel showcases the kind of power Cornell has the best, and songs like My Michelle, Out Ta Get Me, and Madagascar show the kind of power Axl has. They are both my favorite singers. I think generally Chris has a more pleasant sound to his voice, but he even said Big Dumb Sex was inspired by Axl Rose.

if you like this you should definitely check out the original by T.Rex! great song. Guns n roses does a pretty good job with it, except for the messy vocals. as a big T.rex fan I think it's neat they covered this tho. just by looking at Slash you can tell he was probably inspired. he plays a les paul (one of marc bolan's fav guitars) and wears a top hat like Bolan did sometimes, most notably on the cover of Slider. so thumps up to Guns n Roses for pulling this cover off

@jessdaman08 I'm afraid I have to say I disagree. not taking away from chinese democracy-the artists on there certainly had their own worth in their own way, slash just has a texture that I've never heard ANYWHERE else. it really doesn't matter what he plays, it can be pentatonic, diatonic, or just a chord, it just sounds beautiful for some reason.
