Old school. Stricktly a trasactional approach that. Any buyer that's been around has heard all the cheesy closing tchniques. How about closing based on customer benefits. This is so 1960's.
No way. That's patronising! I would never ever say that to a customer! "You promised me" ??? That's despicable in my book. Decision are not always made on the fly, he might have to talk it over with others. If I were a customer and he said that to me, I would want to kill him.
Thanks... I believe in value selling. If you believe that your customers see no value in what you're selling, you'll start trying to trap/entice/persuade people into buying - because you don't believe in it yourself. If you see value in it and believe others will too, then you'll know how to move on when a sale aint gunna happen. Otherwise, it's all smoke and mirrors and BAD STATEMENTS. I'm so tired of the old "oh, he's so good he could sell ice to eskimos" NOPE, don't buy that crap at all !!
the furthest i will go is 2 or 3 no's...hell, sometimes i think people say no only to get more out of you other times, you don't even get a no lol...i believe that as a sales person, if they're in front of you, be the master! get their money in your hand and get them what they want in return. If it means asking a question which leads them to saying yes over and over again and they see the value...so be it! that's what they came for, but not without you showing them the way. is that evil?
Yes, evil, from the dark side! Tell Lord Vader I said 'Hi' lol.... No, I think if you don't ask for the order, someone else will. It's a bit like Halloween, if you're the last kid to ask for candy, they might not have any lollies left to give you! But, ask nicely, do your homework first (they might NEVER have candy - EVER) be patient, move on.... building value means 'understanding what they care about' Have you seen that movie 'blood diamond' those tortured people don't value diamonds.
well, i have an insurance providers license but I sold Timeshare, sales meetings, and sold computers at staples for a while....btw, retail sales SUCKS imo
@doanythingfordethklk "you promised me" ?? What are you expecting his response to be? "oh, I'm sorry - I did promise you... my mistake... yes that applies to my situation...." In my opinion, yes, do most of this, but don't do the "you promised me bit" do this instead "Oh, OK - think it over... I'll come back another time"...start packing up your things... during which you say "by the way - does it apply to your situation?" now, do whatever you will with that answer.
