Um I'm confused in Halo combat evolved "shadows" were stationary guns (I don't have Halo 2) and now Halo 2 "shadows" are those big things in the tunnel right?

no no, in halo 1 those turrets were called "Shade" turrets... Shaddows a new vehical only for halo 2
