Steve is the most humblest elite guitarist/Musician ever.I hate to compare,but look at Stevie Vai .That dude is so full of himself where as Steve Morse is genuine.He looks like a celebrity that if you bumped into him at a resteraunt and you sad hello,he'd take the time out to talk a little.Obviously I don't personally know either one,but that's my impression I get from both of them. I understand this as I'm this way as well others I know who are accused of "not looking me eye" when we speak to someone. It's think it's partly a way of focusing and being predominantly "right-minded" and in a creative state of mind. Which makes some sense being a lefty as Steve is a left-handed person also. No musician I know is in prime conversation mode when their instrument is in their hands.

What's with the drugs references to Steve? There's no way this guy does drugs. He couldn't do the things he does, or play at the level he does with such precision, or be the great teacher he is if he were high. He's not "on" something. He's having congruency issues because he's deconstructing a concept that is difficult to explain to the layman/common listener, that he himself just "does". Having the floor sometimes gives people the "deer in headlights" effect, making them just perhaps look at the floor to get something out without distraction. THIS is the hardest working man in showbiz. Viewers have been too caudled by "scripted expression."

This is the only video I have seen of him where he actually looks/sounds stoned! must be jet lagged or very very tired. Seems very absent minded. Steve is a straightarrow, and doesn't even smok pot or drink wine/alcohol. He couldn't play that if he had a load on. What usually differs from him and other ones playing the same stuff, is you can see that the strings are all completely straight from his fretting fingers. Most people whack the strings with their left hand so it's slighty out of tune.
