@xMikanNamix I think thats his only movie, but he has been head designer at Gucci since the 90s, a model before that and now I think he like owns Gucci or something. But he's an amazing designer. He put Gucci back on the map in the 90s... For a long time it was becoming one of these designers only old ladies wear, but he gave it a whole new image, and he's an overall brilliant guy... And FINE to look at ;)

I like the way the sudden rain caused his to wink at the moment, it moved from a causal conversation to something further. I wish more films had this much depth.

This is such a lovingly crafted film and all that attention to details really does rival what the best literature can do.

Two of the major actors (Firth and Moore) were selected by Tom Ford and not the casting director. The part of Charlie was written by Ford especially for Moore. I do agree though casting for the other roles were perfect.

Joseph Middleton (casting director) cast this film perfectly. I can't imagine anyone doing better than Colin Firth in this role. After Jim (Matthew Goode) says, "I think I'm taken," there's a shot of Firth's face, and you can see the joy radiating from his face.

Also, Matthew Goode's American accent is perfect.
