  • Thats awesome!!!!!!!! I want to play with this guy sometime!

  • would be awesome playing with DMB, of course he sounds amazing as is, love the jam

  • Do you have a different bridge to play this?

  • Has a bit of a Spanish sound to it. Very catchy.

  • i wish i could do this on my cello

  • funkmahinaaa!!

  • Tuned like a guitar, pretty neat.

  • Any chance we can get for the sheet music?

  • Just transcribe it.

  • amazing!

  • There really is no comparison between a bass guitar and a double bass (or, in this case, a cello) The sound so...full. Don't get me wrong, bass guitar is beautiful and has its slot. But the double bass/cello when finger-picked...amazing. This is brilliant.

  • if he had a face book i would totally contact him for a cd

  • thats awesome

  • amazing!!!!

  • 指がかわいそうだぞ。

  • Woah, amazing

  • Its good, but what does it have to do with Apocalyptica? I was expecting a Harmageddon remix or something... but this is cool too.

  • I did not put Apocalyptica in the keywords, this is an absolute original by Brandon Smith. He is very talented, and does not really play covers to often.

  • there is something about this piece and the way you play it that makes me feel so happy! i love it.

  • This was amazing , yet I always have to tell someone one thing they did wrong, even though I am not that great. One time when you played your C string it twanged and sounded way off.

  • C-strings suck, man. They're either perfectly aligned with the fingerboard (yeah right) or they twang obsessively. It's their job.

  • It is the way that you pluck it that makes it twang. It is definatley not the string.

  • awesome

  • loved it man. keep it up.

  • man i love your work. im 13 and yea i play the cello...i can only dream to be as original as you.

  • wow that's brilliant

  • woah...

  • this is completely brilliant.

  • Oh my goodness, that is amazing.

I love it to bits. <3

  • dude, I love this vid!! I'm gonna try and learn this from watching it... is it in standard tuning?

  • This has given me a whole knew look to the cello. I've always used it as the heavy bass on the bottom but this is definately something I will consider using in my future compositions. Cellos are definately gonna get solo lines on my near future compositions.

  • Very nice man! :D

  • Perhaps the most creative use of the cello; It's so perfectly made.. So mellow, so melodious, it's music to make you happy while eating chocolate.

  • Very creative use of the cello! I have tried that myself, but the sound of guitar-like strumming on such low registers can be very tiring after a minute or two...

  • holy crap. dude this is whack. awesome

  • Wow!!! Inspired by Lindsay Mac? That was amazing...

  • Very good, i must say.

Takes me probably a very long time until i can do that, alsow turning my cello will probably reminde my of my childhood:D

  • haha. thats funny. good one daniella. :)

  • Awesome!

  • Great! Very original use of the cello.
