I wish he sang more of the chorus, and they didn't use so much of the recorded version, or at least, turn down the recorded version so it is behind his actual voice.
@gehlhoff It sounds like the uploader used the recorded audio for the chorus and used the show audio for the verses. You can hear it fade in and out... Its good though for a vid because it really highlights the live verses and the amazing album production in one shot.
@MrsAughtsix Thanks for the reply. I primarily used the album audio because the chorus has a heavy bass line that distorts the camera mic, though it's probably due to the ridiculous level that the speakers are turned up to at the venue (Neumos). Looks like it's time for an external mic.
@imag33 I think you pulled it off great. An external mic definitely would be a good investment if you make a lot of live videos. I didn't even think about the bass affecting the sound quality, but that completely makes sense. And I hate when venues do that and the bass completely overpowers the rest of the music. Seeing these guys live for the first time in a week. Clearly I'm in for a good time.
