Oh My Word........this made the hairs on the bacl of my neck stand up. My fave song on the Electro-Shock Blues Album, but this Live version is something else! Can't wait to see you guys in Birmingham. Eels Forever.........!
This song literally is like novacaine for my soul. It gives you that warm feeling that someone out there is coming to terms with the same stuff as you, and it's like they're offering their own optimistic words to support you. Brilliant. Amazing performance too.
This version is very similar to the album version, what are you lot below me talking about...? It's not like the 'With Strings' tour or the usual crazy covers he does of his own songs lol
yes i agree, i think that a lot of singers, when have to sing live is much worse than in a studio: eels sing exactly the same way like in the original one!
First time I ever came across the eels was this episode of later and I still have it on video. Absolutely fantastic! I went and bought "Electro Shock Blues" the very next day and kept in my cd player for the next 6 months. Love E's work and can't wait to see them live one day.
Oh my god, Eels and Bjork in the same place at the same time, what event or show was this??? I'm guessing this is Bjork's 35th birthday party, that's sweet :D
This is an awesome version. Love it. What I like about the Eels is their live performances arent crappy *covers* of studio versions, but dropped a key. Considering how much instrumentation is in the studio version of Last Stop, this is really good, has a unique twist to it live, and I love it for that, plus E can sing live.
Top top song. Still prefer the studio version, but this is a cool attempt to reproduce it with the dynamics still in place. I remember watching this show back in whatever year it was and being impressed. Thanks for posting.
There you go. I think we both like Eels a lot, still I prefer this live version above the studio version. Don't think you can get a better live version of this song. Either way E is an amazing artist, I think we agree on that one.
Wow, great version of this song. Any chance the band will post the music video of this? The only version I can find anywhere has the audio out of sync, and it's my favorite Eels video. I never listen to anything but Eels; each album is a new part of the soundtrack to my soul. Keep it coming, E, you're my hero.
this song reminds me of me and my best mate when he got his first car and we went on a road trip in the country together it was a hot summers night and we drove through the sunset i dont see him much anymore but i often think of our adventures together heres to you flint x
fucking love this song, saw Eels live at Somerset house little while ago and was amazing

What? This is nothing like the studio version. Not just because a lot of the effects he does on that he physically can't do in a live performance.
