sciotto8, are you a fan of the pairing of Pam and Mark. I didn't like how fast the writers moved Pam on with Mark in season 8 after Bobby "died" in the episode Swan Song. The show may have jumped the shark big time after the dream solution but I don't think that the show could have gone on for 5 more years with the pairing of Pam and Mark becuase VP and John Beck didn't have the same kind of chemistry as PD and VP did as Bobby and Pam.
No, I didn't care for Mark. He was too much of a player! He muscled in on Pam way too fast before the dream! The show lasted a few more seasons because there was nothing better on. I agree Mark and Pam's chemistry couldn't have carried that show another five years. I think the show ends sooner if they had.

Maybe they should have had JR actually kill himself in the last episode because there's no question Bobby's a lost sould since they wrote Pam out, and that's allowing for the dream sequence.
JamesLiveProductions, I HATE how Pam treats Bobby after her mother Rebecca dies when she leaves Bobby and takes up with Mark Graison while they are separated before they divorce.
JamesLiveProductions,I know that Bobby wasn't a perfect husband or father but he didn't take up with another woman while they were separated. LOL. Bobby didn't deserve to lose Christopher and Pam after all of the trouble and CRAP he went through to get Christopher for them to adopt. Bobby was an awesome husband and father that Mark Graison could never be to Pam and Christopher.
This scene is bittersweet....it really does invoke tears of joy that they are reuniting....then the nightmare begins. Too bad we didn't know it would be a only a nightmare when it first aired, because expecting Bobby's impending death-and Mark's impending return- really took away the joy of this wonderful occasion.
bixbyglaser, in reality this scene and the episode Swan Song ruined Dallas becuase I remember the critics saying what a stupid mistake and blunder it was to kill off Bobby after Bobby and Pam reunited. I also remember the fans and critics whining and bawling that Bobby needed to come back on the show and then when got what they wanted Bobby and Pam reunited. The fans felt like intelligence had been insulted becuase the producers wiped out season 8 to bring him back on the show.
