It was from the production company Full Moon Entertainment, makers of mostly schlocky stuff, but whose film series "Puppet Master" has its own cult following.

The movie I'm talking about had the rather silly title "To Sleep with a Vampire," and the falsely titillating premise of "stripper meets vampire."

@beetlegoose What the flick turned out to be was a very well-written, contemplative piece which presented a compassionate vampire, Jacob, listening to a young woman, Nina, who was making money by the only means open to her in order to get to where she could have visitiation rights to her little son.

That's probably not your cup of tea, but nevertheless it is an excellent vampire flick with a surprise ending and solid performances throughout, particularly by Charlie Spradling, who plays Nina.
