In 1983 I was looking to buy a four seater convertible car to restore. I had £400 to spend, it was a toss up between an Amphicar and a 3000 GT Crayford Capri,
I chose the Crayford as i didn't like the props under the Amphicar,
I never understood why no one will make a modern car like this.. not huge military amphibian vans or tanks but just like a bmw 130d that can swim at a few miles per hour.. i would prefer spending an extra few thousand dollars to have this feature than on sunroof, fancy stereo, etc. think about it more people would enjoy the lakes, and wouldn't need to tow a big boat or jet ski. this would be especially popular in san francisco where people are limited to using canoes or boats to explore around
Wow that is really the car that I like! I rember when I was a little kid to have seen Santa Claus visiting Dutch, arriving by the North Sea with a lot of cars like this.
I want one of these so bad

I'd have to guess that saltwater would be absolutely terrible for this type of car. Very cool clip though.

I'm gathering materials now: A small front-wheel drive, a high-sided boat hull, four tractor wheels...
