Playing Uncharted 2 before Uncharted 1 is no problem considering there is no strict need of knowledge towards the 1st one...

playing MGS4 before any others, I like to consider dangerous because you're soaking up so much epicness but at the same time you hardly have time to realize you don't have the slightest idea what any of it means in the first place

Snake's universe has experienced a change in how war's are fought - no longer about young men and countries fighting for supremacy, but about proxies and corporations dominating the field. Ron Pearlman's war is also true - the wars themselves are about resources and beliefs, just as they all have been.
