THIS IS NOT A RACIST MOVIE. If you wish to view the entire movie we have the original 1946 Song of the South on DVD, with an interview of Walt Disney himself on the creation of the film. Only at ACME SALES AND BOOKS only in beautiful Savannah, Georgia.
pogo inspired me to take a different approach to my music too, his heavy sampling made me wanna make songs with all sorts of samples too. this is real music right here!
@EekMagicWeasel Artists can choose whether or not to take criticism. The samples aren't off-beat anyways. I don't really see all these "flaws", I think this song is one of the most musical tributes to pogo so far. I noticed you don't have any on your channel...
@doodovf Anybody, not just artists, can choose. That's fine. But if politely phrased criticism such as Raltsman is blown off with only 'this is my style' as an explanation, that doesn't make the song/picture/whatever any better or more technically sound. Forgive me if I seemed to imply that ALL of the samples were offbeat or that ALL of the drums were too loud. Also, the 'could you do better?' argument is incredibly weak. It accomplishes nothing, akin to plugging ones ears and saying 'la la la'.
@jeesh123 OH! I thought it was a style tribute O_O I see, so you're using his style of music and combining it with your own to make an original fan piece! Alright, that makes sense. Still, I really think this piece will stand alone! It's just so... happy, you can't NOT like it! -points to Likes/Dislikes-
Hmm... A few things I can offer? The instruments are still a bit loud (noticably the drum in the backbeat) and some of the timing from the vocal samples are a bit off-timed. The... I wanna say synth chord? Yeah, it's a bit muffled toward the middle when the chorus begins repeating. There are a few other little sounds that would be a bit better if fit into place a bit better, too, like the birds and the harps and flute. Next part with happy comments:
@Raltsman I like the idea, though. It actually sounds quite nice as it is, but it does need a bit of tuning up before it can stand as a Pogo song like Arrow Through the Heart does. I like how happy it sounds xD It reminds me of UnBirthday or Drunk in the Mat Mobile or Expialidocious! Since I'm sure he'll see this soon enough, I'll allow HomeStarRunnerTron take over with criticism since I couldn't use FL Studio to save my life. Last part:
@Raltsman As I said, I'm just another Pogo fan, but I compared this to your ATTH and other Pogo songs, and yes, I DO believe this could be on par with Pogo if it is retuned slightly.
@Raltsman As I said in the description this is a mixture of his and my own style. I don't see the point in making an exact copy to Pogo's music. This is an inspired piece.
Wow, defintely keep it up. The stuff I heard so far have been bliss to my ears like Pogo's so far. We need more people like you and Pogo to go out and make beautiful songs like this.
Well, I just listened to this song a dozen times now, and I only started crying once I founded a sort of emotion resulting of this constant happiness. I'm feeling like the man has just arrived in heaven and then becomes more happy than ever, by discovering such a wonderland. I must say, every mixed song in the way of Pogo has an history in it. Music involves another one, ways more interesting and which gives you amazing feelings. Thank you. You'll always amaze me.
Fantastic. That make me smiles so much. There is a huge happiness in this video. A bit repetitive all the time, but so addictive and adorable. I love the effect on 1:50. Please keep doing this kind of videos, this is so amazing.
Great Video!!

Saying that there were once black slaves isn't racist, it's being historically accurate. Anyway, great job on the mix!

How the hell was this banned for racism?
You can't just throw the whole "black slaves" thing away and hope it never happened.
It did last for around 300 years.

I've listened to this track a few times over the past week and I haven't noticed any real 'flaw'. I don't feel it as 'off beat' in the least.

I don't think this is weak at all. My only complaints are that you can't hear the vocals very well. But the instrumental part is nice to listen to.
