Very nice, I'll be getting a DFI Lanparty mobo and the same cpu you have in a few days and I'm putting my ATI HD 4850 in it. Definitely gonna oc that cpu, hoping I can get it to atleast 3.5 with the factory fan and junk.
Although its possible to reach 3.5GHz on stock voltages and heatsink, I wouldn't reccomend it. An aftermarket heatsink is an inexpensive upgrade which makes a big difference in terms of overclockability. Good luck with your new build though!
Hey man thanks for reply, I got my Intel E8400 from Newegg last week with that DFI motherboard that I mentioned and I overclocked the E8400 to 3.6Ghz right away by just turning up the clock to 400 and I didn't even have to touch any voltages whatsoever and I'm just using the stock fan that came with the cpu and I haven't had one crash, pc's been on for atleast 8 hours everyday and I've been playing tons of games and temps just acts like its running at stock speed. I'm in love with my pc now!
BTW - Don't bother clocking it any bit higher on the stock heatsink. It can fry your CPU due to abnormally high temperatures. Have fun with your computer :)
You should overclock your Q6600, I've seen great results with other people overclocking to speeds like 3.6GHz and stuff. A mate of mine actually raised his 3DMark06 score by 5300 from overclocking his Q6600 to 3.6GHz.
I'd post my startup but YouTube has that 10 minute limit.

Where the hell did you see that? The description is real, and it's not an IDE drive anyway.

Haha yeah, haven't noticed much of a startup difference from selective startup to diagnostic startup though... Thanks for the comment. :)

OMG nice windtunnel rofl :P but pretty nice speed =)

Yeah, pretty loud but it does the job ;)
I'd rather have the fans on high and it be loud and cool than the fans on low and it overheat. Thanks for the comment. =)
