either name the horn you want to use the same as the original and put it in the sound folder and overrite the original or open the sms files and change the horn name ti the name of the horn you want to use. all the sounds for the trains are in the Surfliner_Common folder which should be in the trainset folder.

thats weird, but it might have something to do with the quality settings on your PC. try ruuning the game with high detail settings.

open the sim and go to the options page when the home page comes up. you can change your settings in the game on the options page.

thanks derek. It was actually included in the dl file with the engine. the download file includes all 23 of the Metrolink F59PH locomotives. the engines and horn were made by Patrick Lopez, not me.

Were did you get the horn for the first BNSF train?

all the BNSF trains except the train at the end of part 2 are from the BNSF Scenic subdivision route from streamlines.

open the camcfg file and scroll down to where it says CamTypeYard, right next to it or under it is the line reading CamControlYard change it to CamControlFull and save the changes and thats it.

I modified the camcfg file. Look for the section that says camtypeyard. then find the line camcontrolyard and change it to camcontrolfull save it and that should be it.

you can buy it on a cd but only on ebay because unfortunately this particular route is no longer available from the company that made it. Facing Point Media has been out of business for 5 years.

All the BNSF trains exept the train at the end of part 2 are from the streamlines BNSF Scenic subdivision.that is the default bell included with the locomotive sounds the route comes with.

if you like good qaulity MSTS routes then yes I definitely recommend getting the pacific surfliner route.Unfortunately it can only be found on ebay the company that made it went out of business almost 4 years ago.

but they are comming out with train sim 2 in holiday 2009 which was built on the flight simulator x platform...so it should have good graphics and a forth route as well

heck yeah its one of my four favorite MSTS routes.the other three are 3DTrainStuffs Cajon Pass,Streamlines Stevens Pass,and Maple Leaf Tracks Cascades Crossing.They are definitely worth getting if you dont already have them.

thats true.Though it is mostly because all the sounds except the horn were recorded from the real trainsets. I made the horn myself.

i will try to hide it next time.i had the hide cursor option activated but it did not work for some weird reason.

The reason that does not work is because the cursor can hide already, PS: instead of moving the camera with the mouse on top: put mouse on underside of screen, or press 8 (if in view 4). This is good! Though, you should have had a CabCar powered coming in on the 2nd Surfliner. Though this is great, I enjoyed it!
