  • This man killed someone! He was drunk! He chose to drink... this is fine! However, when you drink and then get in a vehicle you put more than your life in danger! He deserves to be tried for murder... I say no less than 30 years in prison!

  • I am personally SO sick of seeing things about drunk driving. It's 2012 people, figure it out already. I don't like seeing people do things harmful to themselves. But driving drunk is something else altogether. You are harming OTHERS, and that's just not ok. Only scum would get behind the wheel drunk. Why is it people can't figure it out? I would sleep on the sidewalk before I drove myself home drunk.

  • Let this be a lesson to those who choose to drink and drive

  • Everyone needs to understand that this happened back in the days before seat belt laws, and in the early days of those laws, they only applied to passenger vehicles, not trucks. The person to blame was the one who was drinking.

  • @dariancaplinger yep... and the insurance companies made up those laws for seat belts. LOL

  • Man, I agree. DWI is stupid and this guy needs to go to jail

  • i agree with everyone but they didnt wear seatbelts what do u expect yes the drunk driver is the wrost person like someine who took my auntie

  • Why is it that always that the drunk ones live?

  • @FreezehV2 Because when your drunk your body is more relaxed. You don't tense up at the moment of impact as you would when your sober. So when your drunk this allows your muscles and soft tissue of the body to better absosrb the impacts within the car.

  • As stupid and heartless as the drunk driver is, the people in the other truck were even more stupid by not wearing their seatbelts and they were fucking sober. I mean, that's hella fucking stupid. You're sober and you can't even make a common sense choice.

  • don't drink and drive or else things like that will happen. so don't do it!!!!!! >:(

  • Never ever drink and drive, or you'll pay the price, either with your life, or with others'.

  • SEATBELTS!!!!

  • i get so pissed off when i hear stories like this! why the f*ck do the drunk assholes always walk away with nothing but the undeserving people get the worst of it?! selfish drunk people man...

  • @darktemplar05 It drives me insane too. Especially how the younger generation (of which I am a part) think it's no big deal. They could kill SOMEONE ELSE... selfish assholes.

  • its always the drunk driver that survives and the innocent ones that die :(

  • @jklfds85 at least they have to live with the guilt of knowing they killed someone, the victim always gets the quickest form of releive of pain and suffering

  • That dumb ass is a murderer he needs to spend his life in JAIL!!!

  • I thought they had air bags back then

  • You drink and drive, you don't deserve to be alive!

  • thats bad that the one guy did get killed but it still seems to me even though the small pickup was smaller it does seem they could of swerved to the side to avoid it but it still is the drunk drivers fault

  • The drunk drivers never seem to die in accidents like these, it is always the other people who didn't see it coming.

  • feeling a lil bit tipsy there, huh Bob?

  • He does not deserve 2 be out of jail. DEATH DEATH DEATH

  • just a couple of years ago there was an incident in washington state where a drunk driver hit a friend of mine who had his five children along...All five children were killed, and the drunk driver was charged with five counts of involuntary manslaughter...i don't know if he was ever convicted or not

  • They should have concentrated all their energy on the woman in the small truck, and left the asshole drunk to drown in his own vomit. He deserves to die - he's a murderer.

  • I wonder why the drunk driver never dies

    really

  • People who drink they are drunk they cant see and they crash. So thats cool

  • People who drink they are drunk they cant see and they crash.

  • I feel bad for the guy in the little truck. He died. He did not do anything wrong why should he die.

  • If i were the judge I would have sent the driver to electric chair for murder

  • @Paramedic18791 Good luck w/ that. I've been signing petitions and trying to change the law ever since I saw a whole family lost to drunk driving. No child in the family was older than 6 and it took the oldest a year before he died of complications. His spinal cord was damaged at C2.

But the worst I've ever seen is a paramedic who works w/ us, has seen the fatalities and still doesn't give a damn about it. She always feels sorry for the drunk driver, tho not while on scene.

    She's vile scum.

  • i have friends in washington who were hit by a drunk driver...all five of their children were killed in that accident...the driver was charged with five counts of manslaughter

  • I hope this haunts the drunk driver for the rest of his life. I agree with the comment about drunk drivers being charged with murder. I hope that the rest of the states follows that. Manslaughter is not enough of a punishment.

  • NO DRUNK DRIVING!

  • was the filthy drunk killed?

  • @melodie973 my dad's been an emt for 19 years now and has never once seen a drunk driver killed

  • @MsCleoptra I've been in Emergency Medicine as long as that and have only seen one killed. She was by herself and ran off the road and smashed into a tree.

It's also the first time I ever saw brain matter. That's the main reason I can't forget it.

That and the fact that she was 19 and I was only a few years older than her. I was 21.

  • I was taught that you shouldn't be driving when you're drunk. I heard that it happens a lot the night prom happens.

  • did he die?

  • Repentant drunk driver? People need to learn that by the time you're sorry it's way too late.

Texas has started doing it right, drunk drivers that kill are charged with murder.

  • o god...

  • In florida the first time you are caught with marijuana, you automatically have 2 and a half years suspended license + massive fines etc etc

BUT...if you get caught with DUI Alcohol you get fined and can be a repeat offender (Most alcohol related injuries are inflicted by repeat DUI Alcohol offenders), I know people that have 11+ DUI's and still have a license :/

  • @sn1pe352 i heard of a guy in Texas that had 12 DWI's, 8 dropped due to connections, but they got him on 4.

  • Wow Hotrod6045 that's INSANE :/ He must of known the sheriff really well

Not to sound repetitive but I believe if people are driving on marijuana they are extremely alert and possibly even paranoid to the point where they would be driving under the speed limit, it doesnt effect neural pathway decisioins either like some people believe as "dumb stoners", studies in gamers show that reaction time is almost doubled in a marijuana users

  • i dont care how drunk you are its such deeper then getting behind the wheel drunk, theres underlying issues and signs people need to start noticing, depression, worthlessness of ones being (feeling that way) we as humans need to reach out and help people figure things out before it gets to this point, there are always warning signs, but people need to be willing to get and be helped.

  • This is what it should be if you have a drink stay home or wait until you are ready. In the worst case spend $80 on a cab vs your life. Medical bills will cost you more than a limo for the night.

  • Today, some states treat drunk driving as involentary mansulator. You will either go to jail or to the morgue

  • If a person kills someone while driving or under the infulence, it should be treated as premeditated murder. The person knowingly and willingly got behind the wheel and drove, and the result was the death of another person. A 3,000 pound truck is just as lethal as a .357. Maybe if we start punishing these people accordingly, this shit will start to occur with less frequency.

  • This guy should have been placed up against a wall and SHOT, point blank. Assholes like him are the reason my beautiful friend Laura is DEAD. Who the fuck do they think they are, that they're above the law? They think they're better than everyone else, that they can drink and drive? I hope he burns in HELL.

  • my aunt and uncle died in a motorcycle accident. my uncle died at the scene and my aunt died in the hospital

  • look at the crazy stuff that can happen from driving drunk?

  • Randy Curtis is the worlds greatest Medic!!!

  • Anyone who ever thinks of driving after even drinking 1 beer should be forced to watch this hundreds of times.

Be safe, call a friend, or a cab.

  • SEATBELTS! SEATBELTS! SEATBELTS!

  • yeah seatbelts may have prevented the fatality.

  • skynet? those medics are terminators

  • lol...

  • fking drunk driver! HE WAS thinking if he was able to drive or not wtf! u shouldnt be thinking if u can driver or not if u have been drinking! u just dont drive!

  • OMG! DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!

  • I once treated a family of people, who all ended up dying as a result of drunk driving. Some on impact, others after hours of fighting for their lives.

Every person in the car had seat belts on. The drunk driver had a van, and the family had a smaller car. The drunk driver hit the car at high speed and kept going, plowing through the car and slamming it against the median strip.

The drunk driver even had the nerve to be angry that she was expected to go to court-and didn't bother to show up.

  • at least he breaked to slow the car down so the impact wasn't as bad.

  • The drunk driver doesn't deserve to be alive, let alone be out of jail to get his spotlight on TV. Freakin idiot. People like that killed my cousin.

  • I agree

  • people like that killed my dad =l,

and srry bout ur cuzin btw l=

  • i am sorry here that sweetheart

  • your right and i'm sorry to here about your cousin

  • @highlanderhybrid yeah he should have died instead of the other guy

  • @highlanderhybrid I'm sorry about your cousin. I am very against drunk driving as well.

  • Well, The Same Thing Happened To Me. Except It Wasn't At Night. It was in the afternoon, my four kids (ages 4-6) and I were driving our car after a shopping trip, my 4 and 5-year-old was in the back seat, and my 6-year-old was on the passenger-side Until i saw a truck swavering back and fourth, I quickly pulled the car to the ditch, and the truck didn't hit us. So I was relieved that I or my kids wasn't hurt.

  • OMG.

  • yes it was the drunk drivers fault but the other car should have had their seatbelts on

if they did the man probably wouldnt be dead

  • They should've had their seatbelts on!!!

  • I remember this episode very well. It is sad that this man made one bad decision and it killed one person.

  • Thats why you dont drink and drive i cant think why ppl cant understand that!

  • because some people are very arrogant. despite all these accidents that have occured

  • @Bluewolf608 I agreee

  • @Bluewolf608 Because they are drunk...

  • @Bluewolf608 Meh, some people just don't care. I know that wasn't this guy's attitude, he was just "having fun" and didn't realize he was too intoxicated to drive, but there are others who don't give a shit about themselves, so why would they care about anyone else? Know what I mean? Sad, really. You just never know when you'll die, but you know someday, you will.

  • @CheekyThrill Yeah, but there's no excuse for when people are so drunk they drive the wrong way on the highway, like the guy who killed that little girl on Long Island several years back.

  • just think of how much worse the accident would have been had nobody slowed down...

  • If you drink and drive you are not only risking your life but the lives of others around you.

In this life there are choices and consequences.think before you drink and drive.

  • i hope that helps they make up stuff to the police like my car could be stolen thank you

  • In this life there are choices and consequences.think before you drink and drive.

  • As I don´t drink alcohol I´m usually the one who has do do the driving at the end of a long day. But I don´t mind, if it helps preventing tragedies like this.

  • Wow. If My Friend Ever Got Drunk, I Would Offer Him Or Her, To Take He Or She To His Or Her House, And I Would Also Make Sure That He Or She Would Make It In The His Or Her House.

  • OMG.

  • a boy in my grade's sister died of a drunk driver. she was comng home from a party at the party, she didnt drink at all. she was going to drive people home but she forgot her lisence. another boy offered to drive. he sad he wasnt drunk... but he was. her name was Alyssa Roy of Farmington, Connecticut . her & 4 other kids died in the accident that night. please you guys. please. DONT ever drive home if you have had a durring in the past 4 hours. it may seem stupid its better that losing a life.

  • Airbags existed in 1995, didn't they?

  • Of course they didn't have air bags back them. But if the small truck did have air bags, would the occupants be less injured?

  • They would probably both be alive and have less severe injuries if they had been wearing their seat belts. I know the drunk guy should not under any circumstances have been behind the wheel, but what is the couple's excuse for not wearing seat belts? They're not just in a car for decoration, after all. If the medics suspected the driver was killed when the steering wheel struck his chest, then obviously the belt would've prevented him from being thrown forward so far and maybe he would've lived.

  • This was before Seat belts were really enforced and in some states ,like Georgia for instance, you dont have to wear the seat belt in the front of a pickup truck. I own a pickup truck and I STILL wear my seat belt even tho I dont have to. Better Safe than Sorry

  • friends don't let friends drive drunk. His friends shouldn't have let him drive

  • As a Paramedic, I see these accidents roughly every week.

Once, I saw an entire family lose their life to a hit & run drunk driver. The family's occupants were a mother & father and their three children, all of whom were under age 7.

Left behind was a woman who lost her son, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.

Offenders are given three strikes before losing their license. Why should this be so when, to be honest, most will use those extra chances to risk more lives on the road?

  • After re-watching this segment, I am clearly mad.

It was a completely avoidable mistake that didn't have to happen and shouldn't have happened.

Had Paul not drove, that couple would have been fine because Paul would not have hit them because of being wasted.

Some make very stupid choices that could cost a person their life, and Paul is definately one of those people.

I feel more bad for the couple than Paul actualy.

  • Paul should not have been driving; he should have had a friend or his girlfriend come pick him up at his house. Don't drink n drive!

  • I have to agree with you on that. Drinking and driving does not mix well. It kills!

  • Does anyone think that William Shatner is pissed about the remake of the Star Trek movie?

  • I don't hate the drinkers, I just hate the liquor itself. People become so stupid when they drink.

  • Liquor isn't bad. Liquor is fine just as long as you don't abuse it.

  • whys stop when u know the car is still going to hit u .. he should've turned..

  • "sobering save" is a brother segment and this is a sister segment.

  • what does that have to do with this video?

  • Dont drink and drive and wear you seatbelt!

  • Who would give this comment a thumbs down? LOSER!!!!!

  • Persons convicted of DUII which result in death or disfigurement should be sentenced to death.

  • if only those cops had 99 strength they woud of been able to open the door....ther def noobs they gotta work on there strength

  • ouch :(

  • not the old ford!!!

  • I'm sure if the police officer didn't show up at scene of the accident when he did, Patricia also would've died because of her injuries

  • How can he be repentent after driving drunk before? How is it that now he got the message not to drive drunk anymore?

  • You just answered your own question. It took that experience for him to learn that lesson.

  • is william shatner the person who plays on unsolved mysteries

  • no it's the now deceased Robert stack.

  • no offence but this is why u drive a big pickup and not a small one!

  • By that logic, we should all drive school buses or big rig trucks.

  • wat kind of truck is the small truck?

  • the red truck looks to be a short bed 70s Ford F100/F150, the victim's truck appears to be a Chevy S10

  • there's Prader willi syndrome.

  • Do u think it was possible for David 2 go around Paul's truck & avoid the accident?

  • He may not have had time to react. I don't think anyone involved in the accident clearly remembers what actually happened, so it was probably reconstructed for the show based on what the police think happened.

  • very sad

  • the road kinda reminds me of "truck pin" #322.

  • Request: Carbon monoxide cop, because shatner's opening is unique "in over 6 years of airing Rescue 9-1-1- 300 lives have been saved"

  • question about POLICE CAR #825 what episodes used this policecar that shatner stands in front?

  • I didn't catch Paul's last name?

  • Paul Prader

  • I believe it's fake name to protect his identity since I can't find if he's still in jail or not.

  • This is why I always wear my seatbelt

  • People, if you drink DO NOT drive. Drunk Drivers have killed many people. In 2006, The band Simple Plan wrote a song called Untitled and made a video showing what happens when you drink and drive

  • wher at in ohio didnt catch it

  • It was in Lafiette Ohio

  • He should be on another show that I watch because of his drunk driving problem A&E's INTERVENTION.

  • There's a freaky segment in this ep where a man on a tractor gets swarmed by bees.

Would you have it to upload Zach??

  • Yeah, it's the one where this guy is using a large tractor with a mowing blade device to cut some overgrown grass on his mother or grandmother's lot. The noise from the tractor distrubs a nearby hive and millions of bees swarm around him and close to a busy, two-lane highway.

  • Let's see if I can remember all the bee segments: There are 5 I think:

In no particular order the segments are:

    1. The truck with the massive cargo of bees that get loose after their hives spill on the roadside from the truck turning over.

Charles Day and medics are covered with them!!

    2. Bill Kilgor misses catching a football and accidently steps into a beehive while sliding down a bank to retrieve the ball.

  • 3. The man with Down Syndrome and his brother or neighbor who are throwing scraps of wood over an embankment to get rid of the scraps, and somehow one of the scraps disturbs a bees nest. The neighbor gets stung.

    4. The man with the tractor in which the loud vibrating blades disturb the nearbye hive and cause the bees to massively atack.

  • 5. The man who has a nasty reaction after a hornet divebombs under the collar of his shirt and nabs his neck.

The hornet was landed on a lamp that was turned on. The man and his wife and kids had come in from outside.

The father unfortanetly picked a bad time to sit down in the easy chair under the lamp, because the hornet got him good...

  • yeah I remember bits and pieces of the segment the bee scares the boy, (I think he's blind).

  • I didn't know the boy was blind, the buzzing probably scared him.

    I get ancy around bees.

  • I don't blame you one bit. I can't stand bees and wasps, to say the least. I've been stung by a wasp twice. First time I was stung, it felt like someone was poking my arm with a knife. My arm itched for days after that. The second time I got a wasp sting, it felt like someone was pouring hot cream (not scalding hot though) on my hand and it puffed up like a balloon. It was not a pretty site.

  • same i hate bees/wasps i got attaked by wasps there annoying

  • Wait a minute there was a break in this segment but shatner never says WWC When We Continue.

  • That was edited over, and the second break appears to be because Part 2 was over-length (it would need to be 3 parts if broken at the commercial it looks like).

  • If you mean at 1:31, I think Shatner only says "when we continue" before the break??

At 1:31, we are returning from a break.

  • yes that's what i meant it was actually 1:29

  • Awesome segment Beatlemoe thank you very much for uploading it.

  • This is a nasty segment because the segment is not even over and we find out that the man who was driving with his wife is dead from the impact.

  • fyi the all-christmas episode was made before this, Episode #612

  • ok thanks soo much zak!

  • Do you have the one where A Man Disguised as a Woman robs a store?

  • actually, I think in that scenario, the man disguised as a woman stops a gun-toting woman.

  • Yes That's The one.

  • sorry to ask but wheres part two! otherwise this is a very intense video i have to say moe!

  • I uploaded both parts at the same time, this one got done quicker.

  • Looking forward to seeing part two...

  • Wow.........
