this stuff can be nasty, you can drop somebody on his head if you not guide his arm around, i mean you have to learn how to fall too, go with the flow.
If I could find a good Judo or Jujitsu place near me, I'd be there in a heartbeat. I'm currently taking Aikido, but due to the dangers and skill level needed for hip throws and the likes, we rarely do them. I know he basic technique, but I have no one to train them with. Taking Judo of Jujitsu would help with my throwing techniques greatly.
@zz4r Sorry for the late reply... Technically, Aikido was "invented" by Morehei Ueshiba (OSensei) in the early 1940's. But the techniques of Aikido, Judo, kendo, and the likes are all descendant from the samurai war arts of Feudal Japan.
@BestSolidSnake007 If you have the option, do both. But otherwise, you need to think about your motives for joining a martial art. It really will come down to whether or not you want to compete. If you want to compete and spar, go with Judo. Otherwise go with Aikido.
@judoka272 This is a video on the effectiveness of Judo. Leave your fuckin political views out of it. Why can't anybody just watch the videos without putting in their 2 cents.
@Future0331 Judo is a physical martial arts and you throw your opponents, depending on how good and how well the throw is throw you gain points. You have two minutes to try and throw your opponent, once you have thrown them you can also hold them down afterwards. If you would like to know anything eles about judo please comment on my page and you can ask me any questions you like about it.
Great video! I am wondering, are the people wearing white belts true Judo beginners or are they Sambo practitioners? I don't know if belts mean anything in Sambo. Many throws from 1:35 on are very good! If these are Judo white belts with less than six months training I'm really impresed!!! I've seen dan holders in Judo not be able to execute a tai otoshi as well as the fellow did at 1:54. My only criticism is that I was not impressed with their ukemi. Anyway, awesome video!!!
@girr425 Join a judo class twice a week dude youll find your standing in BJJ will improve & because they look at a similar sport in a different matter youll find it can give you a few more tools to use.
I love the throws. They are executed quite well
