yeah he's been practicing a little tight. feeling the pressure basically. i mean he should be going all out no doubt but he needs to relax and have fun, too. it is a game after all! :)
yeah i heard someone saying today who watched forte live in college that he will be like eddie george.
as for the orton vs rex that's interesting you say that cause i have actually been seeing it the other way. rex seems to effortlessly throw the ball far and fast whereas kyle seems to put more effort in to get the rocket to launch. they both have strong arms though. i might have to look a little harder :)
6 more weeks this time and i'll be gettin jacked up for the opener....oh wait, i'm already jacked for it, lol. THE ANXIETY!!! lol, i luv watching this man, i could watch it all day. my g/f said "havent u already watched it enough?" i respond, i cant get enuff. lol. but yea man keep this up man, i'm loving it. I'm not sure if they do to avoid injury but do they ever really go full contact?? like later in camp? just curious
i don't think they ever truly do go full on out in terms of tackling and trying to KO people.
that seems to be the trend these days to prevent injuries from occurring. we'll see though. i do miss the days of full-contact training camp but i guess those days are numbered.
KEEP POSTIN! LOL....i see hester finally was practicing today. just seen on the website and that he had caught a bomb. if so HELL YEA, say bye bye berrian and hello hester, WCF!!
this might be because Rex ball has more power & is more perfect of a spiral compared to kyles short balls. my grandma can fire off 10 yd passes dont mean ahole lot in NFL (the top physical sport on the planet)
yeah that's how i saw it too. on the short passes kyle can get the velocity up really high but the medium to deeper throws it takes him a little more time to get velocity on the throws.
i like how peanut n vasher were gettin physical with the recievers, it will only make the offense better. i want to see the d-line going harder considering how poor the o-line was last year. seemed like in the first and second practices everyone was going half speed. glad to see it getting more competative
hehe. he did have some nice moves yesterday but not for much yardage he also got stuffed on one play by hillenmeyer. i'll keep my eye out on him for ya ;)
yeah well put. once peanut and vash started getting physical the wideouts started playin a lil more intimidated. most of the wideouts we have aren't used to how physical vasher and peanut play let alone mike brown.
yeah i can't wait til we get into our 3 TE set. people better watch out around the goal line and in the red zone.
I dunno to me the bears cost themselves the 07 season by not throwing enuff deep balls and they seem to do the same sort of thing during this , great vid keep em coming ^^
yeah good point. you need protection to throw deep routes too so they have enough time to develop. i think the reason we haven't seen alot of deep balls in camp so far is because of hester's absence. but alas he agreed to terms today so hopefully we see him practice today!
yeah he almost had another awesome catch i thought of putting in the highlights just to show how difficult of a catch it was yet how close he came to catching it.
both qb's looked even to me, orton had that near pic and rex had that fumble, but they both looked good. cant wait to be up their on the 30th WOO 2 DAYS
Good to see Rex stepping up in the pocket, and running (forward, not backwards). Vasher is looking good. Forte looked sharp. I didn't realize the quickness he had.
Rex is so much better QB then Orton, they arent even in the same league, if he can stop making mistakes like he did before got hurt in the last season he can be a premiu QB in this league
i definitely think the jury is still out and that both of our qbs are still relatively inexperienced and have over-delivered based on their limited playing experience.
Good video. It's funny though how everyone here is now making judgements based on 5 minutes of video that was edited and had the good clips pulled out.
lol i try to put the bad plays in there too just not all of them. i had thought originally of doing separate videos that showed all the bad plays too so people could see that. i'll probably just make sure i include more of the bad plays in the highlights.
great video -thanks alot..that Rex generally always looks good in practice but that last shot of him fumbling the snap is very much the REX on the field at game time..I hope another year will do him good..
hehe totally. and that's the thing rex fumbled that day, kyle the day before. kyle actually had a mis-handled snap yesterday too but it didn't result in a fumble it just resulted in a rushed bad throw. you know with qbs another year definitely does them good. qbs are all about game-time experience. the more experienced they are the better they are for sure.
Our TE's are MONEY........hell even Kellen Davis looks like he can contribute in the passing game, I've already guaranteed 1,000 people that Greg Olsen will be in the Pro Bowl this year..........better not make me a liar, lol
Keep up the great job Roy. I've watched every one of your practice and commentary videos and they're the only thing feeding my crave for football right now. Rex has looked pretty good but I've always felt he could be a good QB in this league with solid protection up front. Forte displays the willingness to block as he picks up the M. Brown blitz at 1:17. He also puts his wheels on display as he races by the defense on the screen play at 4:10. Keep em coming!!!!!!!
Damn dude you effin rock! Much appreciation coming from my household. Hey guys if you wanna see some bears highlights check out my profile.....its of the 06 season though i couldn't find enough highlights of the 07 season to make em for last year.
you know i don't think many people realise but he used to be quite the scrambler before he got to the pros. i think after he got hurt though they told him to stop so he did but you see it creeping back into his game year after year.
noo! don't say that! lol. i do my best not to show off formations and what not for that very reason! i'm going to have to get much tighter shots now. thanks for the heads up.
Solid video of course. They're not really revealing anything anyhow with Hester on the sidelines. They should run a seperate practice in an unknown location shielded from the media and public when they pull out their super weapon just like the military runs trials on new weaponry. No one knows until it's unleashed! For the next 6 years Hester will be Hesterizing the NFL in a Bear uni!!
you know why forte can at times not look fast is because he's tall for a running back so he has big strides which is why i think most people describe him as being smooth. but when you actually see him fly past people and see the yard markers fly by then you realise he actually is pretty fast.
Thanks Roy.Mna can't wait till the season the starts.Lookin real forward to forte and monk out there. How come Kevin Jones hasn't been there recently? He is suppose to create compotion at the running back for starting Job right.
I think this was at least the third time I saw kyle orton throw a horrible pass...

If you go back and look at highlights from your videos
on day 3 , at 6:48 might be a indictioon why those bad snaps keep occuring that snap was almost in the dirt.....^_^

aha. yeah i didn't look closely enough. i hope something else is going on.

yeah me too. it looks like that to me also. now if that line can gel and block well we might be in business!
sportsfansnetwork 3 years ago
good to see rex scramblin a little bit, and not just standing there like a tree
onlycomeoutatnite 3 years ago
hehe. yeah no doubt.
he actually used to scramble alot. it's his nature actually. they coached it outta him after he got hurt but he seems to be over that now. we'll see.
sportsfansnetwork 3 years ago
I think this may just be the year the screen works on a consistant basis!
Have to agree with the props given to the TEs, they look like they are teleporting into open spaces.
...and DAMN it's nice to have the Interceptor back!
destroydapacka 3 years ago
yeah forte is making us look like a good screening team finally.
yeah we need vasher!
pray for health!

thanks for putting this up man long time to talk, i jsut got to say all of our TEs look fuckin awesome!
gowiththeflow198 3 years ago
yeah they do. 3 good tight ends? crazy.
sportsfansnetwork 3 years ago
Mike Haas looked pretty good. I hope the Bears give him a chance. Im wondering whats with the lack of Marcus Monk?
rdldr1 3 years ago
it's just been that the wideout position is so competitive that he hasn't gotten alot of reps and touches outside of position drills of course.

lol o i will!
yea i mean i guess i'd rather hear how someone got injured in a game rather than in practice. i was just kinda curious bout it.
TWELL82 3 years ago
yeah me too no doubt. yeah it's just cause of all the money they pay the guys. they're paranoid to lose a guy before the season begins.

monk has made plays no doubt. it's so competitive at that wideout spot right now it's been alot of fun to watch.

yeah he's got deceptive speed which is even better because you'll get defenders taking bad angles and playing him flat-footed.

kellen davis might quite be the story of camp so far. i expected to be good almost a sleeper but he's even surpassed that so far.
fear the triple tight in the red zone and especially on the goaline.
