He's really not that OP.... his main damage source is his Q and E and to negate his ult, just pick soraka and go full AP, or you can pick shen to save others, or sivir/nocturne to protect yourself. Some champions that have the ability to disappear off the map for a split second can also "dodge" his ulti like shaco with his ulti.

@Niksa1402 agreed most of my kills are actually with Q, its pro when you can lay them around so that you either anticipate where they will go or trick them to go where you want them to go and just finish them off. Ulti is sick yea ofc and with teamwork karthus can get fed as hell but honestly I actually like playing him. Alot more when I don't miss the Q much and beeing able to harass. Trynd in the other hand is just a auto hit for dumbasses.

Riot is trying to fix their mistake of making this AoE god of a champ. But you should sleep more soundly knowing it is much harder to get a penta kill with Karthus these days.
