  • i like how they promoted the shows here..instead on today's tv promos..cutting into the closing credits.

  • One of the better cop shows of the 70's.

  • The V/O of this promo was ABC staff announcer Allan Jefferys.

Also, the clarity of the audio suggests that this was originally recorded off of WABC-TV in New York.

B.T.W., these visuals were technically 35mm optical slides; "telops" were 5" x 4" glass slides for "telopticon" machines, as usually associated with B&W television.

  • I remember these. This is like it was just broadcast. Listening to the mic fumble at the beginning, no doubt recorded off the live network feed at an ABC affiliate. Takes my right back to 1973. Thanks for the post!

  • Don't stay home without it! ;-)

  • My source was VHS but I'm not sure where it's source feed came from.

  • Great stuff! Keep it up.

  • Where do you find stuff this old? The only home VCR out at that time was Cartrivision, and some people might have had U-Matic decks.

  • That show was great back in the day.Would love to see the reruns

  • The first season of "The Streets of San Francisco" is now available on DVD.
