I guess it is just the masking of the dust and dirt and barely some debris flying around to give it that appearance, but then again there really isn't anything much to physically recreate destruction on such a wide scale without having an insane amount of processing power and even to host such an event in a multiplayer would get really messy with latency.

If you compared Red Faction Guerrila's to Battlefield Bad Company 2's building destruction, Red Faction wins hands down. The wall destruction is so scripted, in Red Faction, the wall actually cracks and blows up where the explosive heats, not when it detects some explosion and blows up like half the house.

@bobenbob123 because the geomod engine in rfg actually calculates the amount of stress each material can take, The Geomod engine is far better at destruction physics, but the frostbite is imo better in graphics, shaders, and sound. Now if you combine them both together.. that'll be epic

Your argument surrounding the fact that it's unrealistic, because you can take 10 bullets and not die is negated by the fact that you can take even more bullets in Half Life 2 and not die along with the fact that Battlefield Bad Company 2 has a hardcore mode which takes away your HUD and it takes many less bullets to kill you.

Red Faction: Guerilla and Bad Company 2 have great building destruction physics! Hafta see Just cause 2. The only game I know of which has terrain destruction is called Fracture. But it's not all that good :P

Well, Redfaction HAs REal destruction, Bad Company 2 uses "just" a lot of joints. BUT Bad Company's Physic is acting very slow. They wasted to much CPU POwer, now you need a Quadcore and Redfaction Runs very well(all settings on high) on My Dualcore(and has better physics).

Bad Company 2 is a lot of fun, but the bad perfomance doesnt fit its visual.

The XBox360 may not, because it has an ATI Graphics Card.

But the PS3 does, because it has a NVIDIA Graphics card installed in it. All NVIDIA cards come with some cool features ATI doesn't, like PhysX. An extreme physics engine only supported by NVIDIA. Most games that are released with Playstation3 do allow the PhysX feature to show in the game.

For instance, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, PhysX for the Playstation3, but none for the XBox360.

You can set up to 6 charges at once and take a building down pretty fast that way. Just pick assault class, equip shotgun... and refill your C4 after you plant the first 3 charges. Thats in the DEMO ofc, but i doubt that will change.

The devs left out the bit about being too close to the explosion..shards should be flying at you and the concussive force should knock you on your ass, but I guess we can't expect it to be that realistic :P

They lied or something. When Dice was talking about this game they said. "EVERYTHING" was destructible. The second one isn't much of an improvement for destruction. Either way the game is fun as hell so far, just a little disappointed in Dice misleading people.

Well, after five days of hardcore bfbc2 gaming, I've noticed that my gpu temps arent just right. I have the GTX 295 which has two gpu:s and the strange thing is that i'm getting 67C on one gpu and the other one 42 C (which is like idle temp). My question is, does bfbc2 support cards like GTX 295 or SLI?
