  • @SuperHurricane6 Thanks for posting.

  • Dreams to remember - wiele pięknych wspomnień mam związanych z tą piosenką.

  • Love you Robert, but Otis Redding got the real soul voice for this song.

  • @ladybird127 O.k. But at least he RESPECTED the song !

  • It was a great movie with a great sound track , I don't buy many sound tracks but I had that one for years

  • Thanks for posting.

  • There are several versions of the original Otis Redding rendition on YT now. No disrepect to Robert who was a great vocalist in his own right but Otis's version is monumentally superior.

  • Thanks for posting, Roses.

  • This version is good but the original is great. The original is used very effectively in "Dream a little dream" when the boys are playing a match of football. The scene is still stuck in my head after all these years.

  • jsupe,

I appreciate your comment. I have not seen the movie. I may go to the video store and rent it. It sounds interesting from what you have stated, and what I have read about it on-line.

  • The soundtrack is good but the use of non-original artists for some tracks weakens parts of the movie. The scene with Jason Robards and Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic" is very poetic as well.

  • jsupe,

I think, I will see if I can rent the video this weekend.

  • The soundtrack is better than the movie as a whole but the premise of the movie is interesting. The portions with the music still hold up well.

  • jsupe,

I went to B.B.s today. I took an index card with the name of the movie written on it. I asked the girl at the counter if they had the movie. She keyed the information into the computer. Nope. Maybe, they'll play it on tv sometime--like when one of the actors or actresses dies.

  • BB is on its way out, they never have anything on their shelves. I joined Netflix and haven't been to the store in eons. The movie is here on Youtube in bits and pieces though.

  • juspe,

I do not watch very many movies. The only time I used my BB card was when a movie was recommended to me.

Viewing fragments on Youtube is not very satisfying. I did see enough to know, I would prefer the original version to #2.

  • Thanks for the information.

  • dee1974raz,

Thank you for sharing the version of this song performed by Robert Palmer on the tv show.

I've seen that footage before. In fact, that's why I posted my simple video.

I wanted to be able to hear the entire piece. I dislike the way the tv show chops the end off.

There must have been a good reason right?

  • jrem3,

Robert Palmer was a great singer. I happen to like this version of Dreams to Remember which he made.

No where is it written that a singer must only sing songs that he has written or has had written specifically for him.

I Imagine, Otis Redding sang lots of songs that other people had sung, in the course of his life.

  • jrem3,

Yes, I realize my responses are highlighted in yellow when they post.

I think, it is courteous to respond to individuals who post comments to my videos--the good and the bad. Somethimes, I haven't much to say; I simply want to acknowledge a post.

    Happy Easter!
