I had tried it at least 70 times in NSTC version before I finally got to beat the mission. It is harder than the PAL European version, you have less time to finish. Greetings
ahahahaahahahha i did iiit...uuuhuhuhuhuhh, i have finish this mission on my ntsc copy...over 190mph on the final line, hit the grass, and a terrific accident was happening, but for a fuc**ng luck, i crash over a 300sl, finish 1st with 1.15.xxx...i know, riding walls, taking shortcuts, nothing "clean", but i dont care.

@alex4000x lol, the first times is a very torture, finish 6th over and over but after a week, you can finish 4th or 3rd.i can give you a few tips:dont desesperate, drive and brake smooth, and throttle hard. buy a slr mclaren, dont change the oil, and slap it a sports tires(s2) and take a free session in nurburgring again and again.but i dont know if you try for the "clean" or "dirty" race...good luck man

this is the only thing left to complete for me i have completed 99.8% of the game, the closest i got was 1 second. it pisses me off, ive had the game for 4 years and havent completed it, but its the closest ive gotten with anz GT game.

this mission should be called in USA: the annoying wait of 125 seconds before finally starting to drive. Every attempt to complete this mission, comes with an unbelievable dumb wait of 2 minutes. IT is dumb , because the programmers could have, like in prior missions of this same game, already positioned the computer driven cars 2 minutes ahead and just let the poor gamer drive for God's sake. What a waste of time to sit and wait for that, a real mess up on the programming but it's just me.
This time is only possible in the Euro version. The timer in this video reads 1min 55sec at the start signal. In the US version it reads 2min 3sec at start.

PAL version or no, that is a good, fast run. 9:02 is 9:02 regardless of the version. I use the NTSC version. You seem to be using full throttle driving style, but that is not cheating. These people are just sour grapes, so pay them no mind. I liked the video. Good going.

We on USA need to let 2:03 minutes, so add to his time 8 more seconds, and that is the NTSC version: harder. But it was a great lap either way.
Very nice driving. I`m trying to do the mission as fast as i can. Manual shifting, but with the dual-shock controller. Steering wheel very difficult without training. Only thing: your car seems to understeer at Flugplatz.
This is not fair. This is the European version which is so much easier than the American version. The lead car is much slower and you only have a 1:55 handicap, whereas in the US version you have a 2:03 handicap. In all, you have to completet it about 10 seconds faster in the US version.
Look at my lead! It's at the last point where you can see it already 7 seconds. Since the 300 SL is much slower than the car you drive the lead will be at least 10 seconds til the 300SL finishes... Besides I don't think the cars are slower in the PAL version, so it's really only 8 seconds less then in the NTSC version.

After going over the diary in the game I found what time I have managed on this test: 9.14.170
Far from perfect, but it was a win, with a D-pad.
When horribly out of practice, with 8 penalties, I lost equally horribly, 9:44.
After a few more attempts I know I can manage it again, as long as I don't stress out totally after the carousel.
This actually got me interested in finally finishing up the last races I have left. Thank you! ;)

D-PAD !? Use both analogs dude. Throttle/braking and steering, works great for me. I'm redoing GT1 and 2 cuz I didn't know they support that too :]
