Sure thing, but in order to direct you to the right website I need your MAC and IP. Open your cmd line and type getmac. Then write that number down in here. Then type ipconfig and write down in here what it says across from IP Address. That will help me get you on your way without me having to go through a lot of reverse look ups.

login, goto wireless settings and peep what your wep key is sir

"admin" is either the password or the username.

And as I said, if you don't know any of those things, there is always a factory reset button on the router that will reset everything, and you will have an open network to set whatever passwords you like.

chances are ur gona have to buy a new wireless card although its probably gona be old because it has to be prism2 chipset. in this demo he was cracking a 21-bit encrpyted network which is kinda rare, just depends. usually nowadays they are 60, 40 or 128 bit which will usually require alot of unique IV's thus requiring packet re-injection, only capable on a prism2 chipset card. unless u want to be sitting somewhere for around 70 hours or so (some cases) then packet re-injection is the way to go.

anyone using WEP should be using as long a password as they can create, with random characters and symbols.

as someone else said this is a really simple password so ur kinda cheating :)

WEP itself isn't a good idea if you want real security. Use WPA2, a long completely random password with non-alphanumeric characters, and then set up a Control Access List as well (limits which ethernet IDs can connect). Make your network hidden, and give it a strange and random name (like x-3/2]pfaj). Reduce the range of your wireless router so that it isn't broadcasting way past where you need it, and turn your router off when you don't need it.

I think he's just showing the principle of the thing. With this knowledge, you can guess that a much longer and more difficult password would simply mean that it would take longer to crack it; regardless, the idea is that it can be cracked and relatively easily so.

If your router is vulnerable to this method, all you need is 10 packets (Unique IV) and then the key will be brute forced in about 30 seconds (In addition to packet collection), regardless of how long or random the password is.

Newsham does require IVs, but such a small amount is needed it seems like none. Even if you did use "*%^&FKDJH*$^34t" as a password, newsham will find it in seconds if your router vulnerable to it.
