@KUSHnB00TS well, it was a long time ago, and I didn't really know much about the car, but yes there are downsides,.. when the box is out, engine sucks in hot air which is bad, engine doesnt like hot air... best thing to do, at least what I do, when you race just take the air filter out thats it. but dont drive in a windy weather or dusty roads cuz all the garbage goes into the engine... I just did so for the track,doesnt make much of a difference but for fun why not, and maybe shave off 0.1 sec

hey man thanks for the comment, and yes, I bought this car from car auction with minor damage to the left fender and 3 airbags were deployed, but hood was not damaged at all, and it is the same color as the car, I guess because of shadows it looks different, but I did no paint jobs at all, I just straighted the fender, changed fog light, and turn signal,.. when I bought it it was 63k mi, and total price for it with everything fixed was 2100, so if you want nice cheap car I30 all the way =)
2100...Good Deal! ...I actually own an 1997 Infiniti J30 same v6 engine but its the 300z motor and rwd. its more about top end..it really starts to pull after 100. Infiniti did a good job on the manual shifting.
oh yeah, mine is auto, but there some of I30 5mt, and there was one on auction with 5 speed, and I was about to buy it and swap trannies, but there was a problem, misunderstanding with a dealer, so he didnt buy it =(, I hope I'll see one again,... dont like auto.....
