youre right it is shit. John rhys davies butchered the character. Gimli was nothing this in the book. Tolkien never said anything about female dwarves actually having facial hair. But i guess Aagorn was only jokeing when he said that and hairy women could mean like the french women. But nonetheless Gimli dosnt act like this.
Actually you will find that in Appendix A Tolkien states that "They are in voice and appearance, and in garb if they must go on a journey, so like to the dwarf-men that the eyes and ears of other peoples cannot tell them apart. THis has given rise to the foolish opinion among Men that there are no dwarf-women, and that the Dwarves 'grow out of stone'. Now please stop hating.

yes i know that but it dosnt say anything there about them having actual facial hair.And have you have ever seen the very matronly female badgers on redwall. They talk alot like men.
youère right he dosnt offically say anything about actual facial hiar either way, so i guess its just up to each readers own imagination about wheather to make them ha ve beards. And Peter jackson is just one of many fans, and you either like that way or not and dont wathc the movies or wathc them depending on your own imagianation and taste.:) I never thought of it like that before. thanks.:) Sorry about the bad comments from before.:)
